Peter Navarro is pushing for the U.S. to boot Canada from the Five Eyes. Five Eyes is an intelligence alliance composed of Australia, Canada, New Zealand, the United Kingdom and the United States. These partner countries share a broad range of intelligence with one another in one of the world's most unified multilateral arrangements. The alliance was formalized in the post-war era by the UKUSA Agreement in 1946.
Other than the U.S., the others are all Commonwealth countries. They should stand up for Canada and boot the U.S. Why share intelligence with a fascist country that aligns with Russia, North Korea et al. You know the U.S. will share sensitive information with Russia.

Except Australia and New Zealand are our friends. Not so sure about the UK anymore. The USA are the ones who should be booted since they’re allied with our enemies under Trump.

Kudos for them standing up for their morals.
Sadly, they've (and all the recent resignations due to Trump and Musk's criminality) handed a major victory to MAGA.
Every resignation is now being filled by a 100% Trump loyalist. The more "good" people who leave... the easier the coup becomes.

Wild times. If this happens, US will need to be considered an enemy of our country.

Just read this story. Navarro has denied this and says that doing that would be “crazy”. But since this loser is a Trump official I assume he’s lying just to save face.
Also, I have no idea how Five Eyes works, but wouldn’t a decision like this need to be voted on by the participating countries? I’d like to think that our other allies would tell the Trump administration to go f*** themselves.

The US has officially threatened and continues to threaten from their highest office the conquering our nation by trying to cripple our economy. They are an enemy of Canada already, unfortunately.

Well this whole thing goes beyond tariffs, you know that. I also said it would be nice to have some on hand, just in case. Never said I want to use them. Being a country with the bomb > one without

I consider them friendly countries for sure, but I am unconvinced that Australia at least would put their relationship with the U.S. at stake for Canada. As long as the U.S. isn't being belligerent to them specifically, they'll go along with them. They need that alliance for security more than they need us, and they have their fair share of MAGA fans there these days. The 5 Eyes sidelined Canada in the past and I don't recall any of the other countries raising a fuss over it. Altruism doesn't exist at the moment.
Only Europe has been reaching out. We have a lot of what they need and they are also being undermined by Trump. That's the direction we should be facing.

I've been thinking about this Trump/Putin thing for a couple of days and if it's True Trump is a Russian asset. The C.I.A must know this.
If it were true, this would and should be considered an open act of war against the United States regardless of who is the sitting president. So why don't they do something about it? Don't tell me they're trying to play by the rule of law. Because that doesn't stick in an act of war.

Ive been thinking about this too. My best answer is that Putin is also a CIA (maybe was) plant and that this is a major gordian knot that no one wants to try to untie.

President Trump told reporters that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky will visit the White House on Friday to sign a minerals deal.
Two sources close to the Ukrainian government told Axios the deal was agreed on Tuesday after two weeks of tense negotiations.
Why it matters: The deal is designed to allow the U.S. to tap some of Ukraine's immense mineral wealth and to spur post-war development in the country. But the meeting will bring together two leaders who were publicly feuding just last week, with Trump calling Zelensky a "dictator" and Zelensky claiming Trump was swallowing Russian disinformation.

That's an odd euphemism. But yes, he is swallowing loads of Russian disinformation.

Zelensky said the other day that he wouldn’t sign any deal unless he was guaranteed U.S. security. But even if Trump did offer that, how could you even trust him?
