I think so, it looks like with 90% of the votes in Trump is going to take PA with a 4 point lead.

I think Michigan and Michigan are going to go to Trump.

He's probably going to take Nevada as well. so at the low points Trump right now has 247 and is going to add 44 and up to 50 with Nevada.

So he could end up with 297.

I mean we could wait for all of the votes to come in, but with 90% in PA and 86% in WI I think this is over.

We're going to have a Trump President with few guard rails with the Senate and the house going Red. And with the Supreme Court in hand.

For Canada we are going to face a lot of pressure on defence spending, NAFTA renegotiation and probably increased Tarrifs.

Ukraine is in trouble now, Their funding is about to dry up, as without the support of America, European funding won't make up the gap.

I honestly wonder if sports/celebrity endorsements hurt more than they help? Are there any studies on this... I often see comments saying "I'll vote Trump because so and so celebrity supports Harris".

This should hopefully be the final nail in the coffin of performative, liberal, identity politics. The divisions are clearly more defined along class lines than racial ones.

Yes, racism and bigotry should always be condemned, but condemning it without trying to meaningfully change material conditions makes you look like a disingenuous elitist.

Its going to be fascinating to see the breakdown on that in terms of gender and age demographics.

I think part of it is we're seeing a swing back to "proud masculinity" from men not only in the US but around the world. Podcasters, TikTok, the right-wing media machine, it's all pushing "be a man" - heck, even a noticeable amount of women on dating apps are asking for "masculine energy" and they're political leaning falls right where you'd imagine it to be.

So add to that dating pools, social groups, cultural groups, and workplaces where this swing is being perpetuated. It seeps into the roots and it's growing.

Obviously that's not all of it, but I'd hedge a bet it's having an effect.

Still wish the Dems had a competitive convention. Pretty doubtful Harris would've won. Messy, maybe - but in retrospect seems like a mistake.

Reminded me of the crappy Flames summer a few years back: despair, followed by a save, followed by an own goal, just like signing Huberdeau to a contract no games played.

I think it's probably not much of a needle mover, to be honest. The people leaving those comments, in reality, already made their mind up.

I do think the one way celebrities could affect elections is getting people out to actually vote.

I honestly do think it was a factor.

I really think that rolling out super rich celebrities doesn't help with your messaging to the middle and lower class.

Probably salient points, but it rings a little hollow when the candidate and party that focus solely on identity, grievance and racist politics succeeds doesn't it?

If condemning these things is a losing venture and pushing them wins that means the populace is in support of it no?

Swift's endorsement got hundreds of thousands of people to register. But did they actually get off their asses and cast a ballot? I'm gonna say probably not.

Joe Rogan helped Trump get the young male voters.

The reporter at the University said he spoke to many who said their deciding factor was Joe Rogan. No, I'm not joking either!

reposting for the chads and those who support child abuse. Everything in here is true, google it.

-------------------

Im sorry - how does it become vilifying when you call out people who are against IVF, abortion of any kind, even rape. Women are dying because doctors wont terminate the pregnancy because of the new law, then both die. This happened hundred of times this year and recently you can google texas to show the impacts. How messed up is that?

Now the parents say on camera, they didnt know that the new government controls that now, so they both die. They will sue but lose because they cannot help the misscarriage along or remove the fetus as it is again the law. So now, the failed fetus kills the mom, we have to carry to term even if it kills the poor 20 year old girl. Congrats, i still think you a controlling sick f word.

Also - why do you think it is ok to Marry a 14 years old girl at 27. That's messed up man but that's what is currently being pushed in states and you are supporting?

Grooming is marrying a 14 year old, why do you think the Rep are pushing this law now and not 10 years ago? it is really sick

Messed up man, doesn't affect me, but every person who posts happy #### in here should watch and google the new laws and the women and the parents that are still alive. Unreal.

Anyone who is happy, isnt really ok, laughing about women dying , grooming kids and allowing marriage at 14 is a sick f.

Enough, know what changed today and the first bill in wisconson and how it will spread. Just like abortion. Know you voted in someone who activtly talked about rape, convicted, and now they put in law so you can do it at 14, and carry to term. (carry to term is already the law of the land in texas and some red states, now when your sick uncle does that ####)

But certain rep and trump and a whole state is ok with for year 12 - 14 year old grooming marriage, sick. Why do you think they took over the word everywhere, its being done and now on the books to be a law so its ok to do that to a 14 year old. sick fs again. but you chose to be happy about that? sick

And still Cap- Most try to be polite, but anyone happy for a rep win, if it is in the morning, supports texas new laws and Wis, marry at 14 grooming. Just a bunch of sick old men

They probably did, it just wasn't enough.
A good number of Swifties probably aren't even old enough to vote.

Those are a drop in the bucket to the real mistakes.

The Dems lost because a) America is filled with an uneducated electorate who are b) easily swayed by propaganda and fear and c) they nominated a black/brown woman, which is very problematic due in large part because of a) and b).

Trump tapped into fear and hate, which Americans have in spades. Americans got grifted by a grifter. All this nitpicking about the Harris campaign is grasping at straws.

Trump won because he’s the leader Americans want and most identify with. Since Harris will never be Trump, it didn’t matter how perfect her campaign was. Even for a white man it would have been difficult for the Dems to win. The democratic party’s platform doesn’t align with the electorate in its current form.
People like you make me happy to see Trump win.

Fox very close to calling it. Just called Penn, putting him at 267. Can only assume Alaska’s 3 will be called soon.

Edit- The Hill has called it.
