Cars don't come with ashtrays any more so they feel it's a valid excuse to be an #######. I seriously think smoking should have been added to the distracted driving law. You can't manoeuvre your vehicle properly in an emergency if you're also trying not to burn yourself.

I find this really strange, but I have a slightly different take on it.

I find it odd that people smoke in their cars at all. Most people dont smoke indoors in their homes, why would you smoke in your car? Cant you find someplace outdoors?

I had a client one time who needed a smoke while I was working on a fairly basic return, so he stepped outside. That was...impressive. He sucked that dart back in...it had to be less than 20 seconds. My receptionist watched him. And it wasn't a puff or two, he drained it. Like 2 breaths and it was gone. It was give or take -30 and he was just on a mission. That was something to behold.

The smell of cigarettes generally doesnt bother me...until I've been in a 'smoking home.'

I thought...you're never going to be able to sell this place.

This was something that really surprised me. Its just paper right? The concept that cigarette butts aren't biodegradable was actually a real surprise to me.

Years ago I had to go to Mocton for work. Due to unstable rock at Summerland I got rerouted from Osoyoos to Kelowna and had to change to an overnight flight out that way. So flew out of Vancouver just before midnight and got to Moncton just after 9 local time. Thought I'd slept the day away, turn on the T.V. and the early NFL games had just started. Seemed so odd to have football start at 2 in the afternoon.
