It's ok, Oiler fans. Hyman will save them! The only problem is that he can't score unless McLotteryball is feeding him passes on the McPP.

It’s difficult for me to predict or expect Hyman to score 54 goals again this season -- especially when he's been snake-bitten through his first 10 games -- but the fact he scored 50 over his last 68 games last year at least gives me hope it’s only a matter of time before the puck starts finding the net in bunches for Hyman.

And now with McDavid out of the Oilers' lineup, Edmonton will need Hyman to regain his scoring touch more than ever.

If I have a choice of Hospitals.

1. Edmonton

2. Columbus.

I'm going to the Hospital in Columbus.
They denied him service. They were feared that whatever was growing on his socks would be on his feet and cause a massive fungal growth to spread throughout the hospital.

It's quite comical really.....anyone looking at the team objectively knew that there were players in Edm that weren't going to repeat the types of seasons they just had (Bouchard, Hyman, Skinner). Top that off with the fact a now very old and beat up roster coming off a long season is bound to struggle out of the gate and you just had to know they were going to be in for a season where things don't go flawlessly like last year. If they somehow manage to avoid a lengthy McDavid injury here and manage to get into the dance again, it's going to be an absolute slugfest as a lower seed and don't see this rag tag group being carried by 2 all stars again.

Also continuing to pin your hopes on a goaltending tandem of Skinner/Pickard is just nonsensical and no good.

Reported that Stan Bowman is working hard on the trade front. Thinking they want to bring in a top 4 dman. Not much for assets there to work with. Conroy can't even really extort them for anything, their cupboards are completely bare.

Hyman has ONE POINT in 10 games this year hahahaha. I thought he was one of the leagues best goal scorers? You mean he's not an instant lock to make team Canada? No way last year was an obscene outliner and he would never come close to replicating said stats!?

I'd give them Barrie (he'd be a top 4 for them with that brutal blueline) for their 2nd. Take it or leave it haha

Former 50+ goal scorer Jonathan Cheechoo has full confidence that Zach Hyman will return to form.

Crime Scene eh? The only crime is the mistakes in this article:

I guess I watched the wrong game because I swore they were in Columbus.

Don't worry, all is fine.

@FriedgeHNIC

While we await news on Connor McDavid's health, the Oilers are bringing up Drake Caggiula and Noah Philp from AHL Bakersfield.

Caggiula, a nine-year pro, last played for Edmonton on Dec. 29, 2018.

Philp almost made the Oilers out of training camp, and, at 26, is awaiting his NHL debut.

Hyman is one of those players that you can't be surprised if he has a rapid decline. Not because of heart and desire. But because each season is a physical beat down because of the style he plays.

And in the NHL that decline can happen if you lose a tiny bit of whatever you speed you have, or your hands slow down slightly, or whatever.

From now on I'm pronouncing Huberdeau like Sharky does.

With Mavi potentially out for a bit and them having a bit of a grinder schedule starting next week do we officially start the Coach Q countdown?

I think the likelihood of the Oilers bringing in Coach Q is about as certain as death and taxes. And I am with you, it happens prior to Christmas and my vote is prior to the calendar flipping to December.

But that's OK because Dube hasn't apologized yet.
