I got a bit of a different impression from the interview. He was mentioning that he worked with the PP, the PK, the forwards, the defense, and was a HC before. He mentioned that he and Huska talked about a few different things that his role will entail, but he'll leave it to Huska to share the details of it.
Larsen has 26 years in pro hockey, and he's only 46 years old. He has 7 years as an NHL assistant, and 2 as a HC, to go along with 4 years of coaching in the AHL. He sounded pretty excited about developing younger players, and sharing his experience. He mentioned that the holes in the lineup created by all of our UFAs leaving create opportunities, and that's something he's pretty familiar with.
