Remember who we are playing against, if it needs a slow mo to tell, it'll be called a goal. We'd be burning a time out and be on PK.

No but Leafs called a timeout for their challenge and at very least you have a player on the ice delay things another twenty seconds to get a few looks.

Depends, if they change the momentum in the 2nd could be worth it

Yeah, people are really dumping on Huska here for what was likely a smart decision.

So glad I muted the game from the start as soon as I heard who was doing the play by play

He did the late game a fair bit for a year or so in the early 2010s ong with Mark Lee, before he was the Flames guy.

Can't believe #63 saw the ice after that penalty. He was complete crap every shift leading up to it. A professional face puncher would provide ample more than he has. I can't understand why he doesn't understand that he will never see another nhl season if he doesn't start f'n skating. So frustrating.

The mayor of Victoria doesn’t know anything about hockey.

What a great Canadian? Sorry, a bit negative, but jeeze to say that on HDIC…

Well, that's fine with me. I'm just saying even if they had time I don't think there's enough there to overturn.

Bad period, but gifting the Oilers a PP on a non-conclusive challenge is a good way to lose the game before the 2nd period has even started.

Flames just need to be better. Oilers are still in their heads.

Is it even worth watching this POS league ruin another game?

It was offside, but 50/50 the call goes the flames way. Too early in the game to risk

The Flames have a chief video guy and one of his primary responsibilities is to look at every angle and make the call on whether Husky should challenge.

Apparently , he did not find it conclusive.

On second look from the camera where you can see the puck it looked as close to simultaneous as possible:

The puck has just crossed the blueline and from this angle the smallest amount of his skateblade is still on the blueline.

Either way I now agree that there's no way the Flames would have won that challenge.

Not close. When McLeod fully crosses the line, there is a 50:50 puck battle at the line. No control = offside.

I don’t think it’s a huge miss by how close it was and how ####ing quick the ref teleported to centre ice to dunk the puck.

I do think, if challenges weren’t a thing, it wasn’t a terrible time for a timeout… since they are, it was a great time. I would have challenged it personally.

80/20 it doesn't go the Flames way.
