Sounds like a community that needs to have all its roads limited by City Hall to a maximum of 5 km/hr.

Free the rest of the city back to 50 km/hr.

Ended up with 110 kids. Up from 52 last year. We ran out of candy. I noticed there was a ton of parked cars on our street. The rural kids came to our community. Artesia Heritage Pointe.

Every year I also have a little treasure chest for the tiny kids so that they can choose other things. They love it and it makes them feel special. This year I have ring pops in there with stickers, tattoos and rubber bugs and snakes.
Best place for Candy. I usually do this for my kids parties and the kids love it.

Not just ring pops, but the bear shaped ring pops are usually a huge hit.

In Edgemont, I saw so many kids running around to the point the roads were occasionally blocked easily a few hundred on the few blocks I was on and in the past, the block I was on was the quieter block. Lots of houses shut down by 8PM after running out of candy. I haven't seen so many people on the streets since I was a teen. It was awesome to see.

I'm really happy to hear these stories of kids taking to door-to-door trick or treating. 10 years ago it sounded like store-to-store Mall trick or treating was taking over (out of convienience and ease for the parents). Glad to see things are trending back to Tradition here.

~60 here in Hillhurst as the final score.

Mall trick-or-treating is lame. Always has been, always will be.

Gotta teach your kids early to get out there and grind. Cold hands? Heavy pillow case? Its all part of the process, kids! Gotta earn that candy!

I love when people get the driveway firepits out and offer beers or baileys & coffee to the parents.

Probably close to 300 kids for us. I bought 450 bags of chips and they all went. Checked the RING doorbell and two groups of teens snatched about 5-10 bags each (had a sign that said take one please). Ran out at about 8 pm.

We had a final count of 462 kids (not counting about a hundred bemused parents) by the total amount of candy given out. We like to make it fun, with lots of lights, sounds, and animatronics, so I think most of them were from outside the community.

Didn't even hit all the houses on our street and mom and dad little one got 3 full size chocolate bars.

Some teenagers stole the bowl at the end of the night (there were only ~4 candies left at the time) and we found it in the street after it had been run over by a car. lol..

That's surprising, I know more families with little kids in Haysboro than where we are in Chinook Park and we got about 40. Those multi hundred numbers people are posting are wild.

I had my 20 year old pass out candy this year for the first time. It was nice to see that he dressed up and everything.

Our usual 24 in Shaganappi. It started strong and then after 7 it was 20+ mins for one or two kids. The other side of the street from us doesn’t have houses and the end of the block is 12th Ave which isn’t a high value target. As I started taking our stuff down around 8 I saw a group of kids coming down the side street perpendicular to us and they turned the other way. I think that happens a lot. I waved down a couple of other kids and their mom and gave them a handful of candy each. Mom said they had gone to mount royal for the haunted house.
