We all know its mental, but after those 2 blown calls you can tell he's just shook and had the yips.

Needs more time to get right mentally. This is our 2022 Kikuchi. Save us Ryu....

Well I guess Manoah isn't fixed, dammit.

Back to stopping streaks again.

Hopefully Ryu is the Ryu of old.

I don’t have the details, but it sounds like Bassitt is donating his own money. Subban does great charity work, but he did not donate 10 million to the children’s hospital, he made a commitment to help raise 10 million for the children’s hospital. I have no idea how much of his own money he has donated, but according to this article the PK foundation has raised $6.3 million which is excellent for the hospital. The foundation has stretched the target date out to 2025.

I originally thought he had pledged to donate the 10 million, shortly after he signed his big contract with the Canadians but that was not the case. Some articles muddied the water on where the money was coming from.

“Subban, who was voted captain of the Central Division team for this weekend’s NHL All-Star Game, continued: “When I was presented the opportunity to do something like this with the $10-million donation to the hospital in Montreal, I didn’t even think twice about it.”

Mitch White can hop on a plane with Malachi Moore tonight and never come back to Toronto again.

Rays lost, Orioles lost, Yanks are losing, Red sox are losing

Hopefully it stays this way, then not an awful night despite the loss.

Astros lost as well.

Has it ever happened this year where all AL East teams lose on the same day?

So, that HAS to be it for Manoah no?

He's slated to start vs the Mariners next week. We cannot piss away any more games this season on him.

He's FUBAR now

No I don't think that's "it" for him, but he's definitely on the bubble again. A Stroman trade and/or a successful Ryu return would probably put him in the minors for the rest of the season though. Lol at the social media posts from 2 days ago saying Kikuchi would get bumped from the rotation in that situation.

No, he didn't have a good outing but bad umping contributed to him giving up four runs. Really it should have been atleast 2-1 when he left.

The team needed to be better too. One run isn't going to cut it.

Jays are in a dog fight for a playoff spot, they can't really afford to throw away games by starting Manoah anymore IMO

Obviously they should be concerned they may have called him up too soon but they aren't going to throw in the towel after one start where a terrible call factored into half he runs he gave up.

He's going to get his next start, if he struggles again then yeah they need to figure something out with the deadline coming up.

Varsho sucks. At least at the batting aspect of baseball.

If you take out Varsho's 8 bunt hits he's a .191 hitter with a .600 OPS. He has been absolutely awful at the plate. No way around it. Yikes.
