Personally Detroit would surprise me a bit, they have Larkin and Kasper is slated to be their #2 centre this year and he is a beast prospect IMO, though maybe they want to press FFWD. The Jackets make so much sense to me, they are desperate, Johnny and Lindholm have played amazingly together in the past and they have one of the best prospect pools in the league. Feels like the bridge between Lindholm and Carolina got a bit burned, though am sure he still has many connections there

IMO, 17 and Edvinsson is perfect for Elias. I think very highly of Edvinsson and that's a lock down replacement for Hanifin who gets you what you need elsewhere.

I don't think that helps as much as taking back a similar money contract off their hands or one with an extra year of term. Do that and you can get something of value.

This move has more value at the deadline when a team can now add two guys like Tafolli and Lindholm with their cap space as opposed to one right now. Whether it's 2 million or 5 million...cap space is really tight for a lot of teams.

Yeah, I've been reading that DeBrincat to Detroit rumour a lot recently. I think it's more than just smoke.

I do think Buffalo makes a good trading partner for Calgary. I just assumed it would be for a defenseman. Maybe we see a blockbuster? Calgary sends Lindholm and a dman. Calgary gets #13, Mittlestadt/Krebs ++
