I haven’t watched a full game in well over a week. This team is just not fun to watch at all, and it’s pretty clear at this point that drastic changes are needed if they want to ice a more competitive team next year.

Combine all that with the annoying league-wide Oilers circle jerk, and it makes for one of the most depressing seasons in franchise history. This is the darkest timeline.

I think part of it is because he was rocked pretty hard in the last game. The guy has skill, no doubt. I worry a little bit about his stature still and am concerned about the amount of punishment he was starting to take.

At his point I would rather watch Oilers vs Coyotes than the Flames. I still dislike the Oilers very much but the games are entertaining. Cannot expect the same from our home team, it is embarrassing.

This is a real litmus test game. Vegas has Thompson in net tonight. If the Flames can win this one with Tanev out, it'll be a sign that they're still believing in themselves, heart & soul, all hands on deck, and they'll still have a shot at the postseason. Lose and it's over.
