Either that, or they purposely cropped me out and left me on the cutting room floor. LOL

Neat experience!

And yeah, I know I need a new TV...

You did intimidating really well obviously, that kid wont even look at you!

Either way, it goes on the Resume!

"Starred in The Last of Us."

I guarantee that at the very least gets you an interview.

Dont forget to get your IMDB credit!

Agree with all the above; clearly a mistake that they released this after the Golden Globes. You would have had a real shot and the show could have used the publicity.

Unless I'm misremembering I think shooting got pushed back by a couple of months last summer, possibly pushing an ideal late fall release to the new year?

Does anyone actually care about awards and award shows?

If I'm following a show I really like or enjoyed a movie that's up then yeah, I care a little. Nothing crazy, but I'm usually excited to see if they won anything, and of course enjoy the award speech of an actor if I invested a bunch of time in watching them.

Just like it's kind of neat to see interviews with cast members after a long, local shoot like this one, as they generally don't do much media, of any while filming.

I both do and I don't. I don't give them a lot of value as an actual metric of quality. But following Oscar season is like Sports for Queer people.

(As a queer I do both)

Haysam Kadri. He's appeared in a ton of productions I've seen over the years, was really good the James Caan role in Misery a few months ago. Thanks for pointing that out. I thought the guy looked familiar but didn't think too much about it.

I haven't seen the first episode yet, so I haven't read anything in this thread beyond the first few posts...

I just wanted to quickly mention how awesome it is that Pedro Pascal has really taken off. First time I even knew he existed was in those amazing few episodes of Game of Thrones he was in - still one of my all-time favourite characters from any show ever. So ridiculously good in The Mandalorian, awesome again in The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent... and so on, and so on.

I already know I'm going to love him in The Last of Us... I'm just not a big zombie fan, even though I really enjoyed the game, so I'm kinda psyching myself up to start watching it lol.

I went into this show not wanting to like it and if it wasn't for the calgary connection I may never have even bothered. I have an aversion to dramas, stuff with kids in danger, am tired of the zombie thing and aren't that interested in watching shows in general.

Only half an episode in and this #### blew my doors off, everything about it has been rock solid, even the dog puts in a compelling performance. You can always judge a zombie story by how well they handle the outbreak and this was one of the all time best outbreaks. The introduction to Joel's character is a great example of how well done everything is. We're shown who he is by how he reacts, his empathy, ruthlessness, resourcefulness and tenacity are all clearly explained to the viewer without giving a direct explanation. That requires a lot of skill and trust between the writing, directing, acting and even the audience.

Awesome. You're in the biggest budget show ever!

In this scene, who is the kid? They test positive like Ellie.

If I'm a fan of a show that I really enjoyed, seeing it win awards is a nice touch.

Not sure what "the above" refers to?

The show is pretty hyped from what I've seen (I'm not a gamer). Probably the most hype, best opening ratings for any new show (excluding House of Dragons) in a couple years. It will get awards later, so not sure how it is a mistake.

HBO would have likely already picked up season 2 except they are in full cost cutting mode, and it's tough to figure out where they are planning on spending. So far it looks like a big flagship HBO show, and they don't have a lot of other current shows, so it would be shocking if they don't go forward.

I was joking that dubc80 would have won for his performance as "blurry guard #2". Would have thought the joke was obvious when I said the show needed publicity...

The actor who plays Tommy is at the Flames game today and was on the Jumbotron. Mentioned that his favorite player is Eat Bread.

He was excellent in the narcos franchise as well.

Maybe this is where people were getting confused in the whole spoilers discussion, but to me, those aren't spoilers since those events have all happened in the show already
