If the Flames had a tenth of the snipes that happen in the losing PGTs, they’d be dominant.

Flames have 19 wins and 22 losses. Sutter should be pissed off.
Markstrom was the 2nd best goalie, that’s why Sutter pulled him.

That's an odd comment.
Andersson, Hanifin, Mangiapane (dear god he's awful right now)? Ruzicka?
|
Dube too? I don't think he had a great game either.

Not the same since his baby boo Johnny G left. He can go to Columbus anytime now….

In fairness, there's no 3 on 3 nor shootout in the playoffs.

I like it. Best goalie the rest of the way starts in the playoffs.

Is the loss frustrating? Yes absolutely. Should we have gotten two points? Yes, but that does not take away the fact that the flames are finally starting to look like the team from last year again with shot volume and checking.
A couple of bounces, and we're easily Top 3 in the division.
Please take a step back from the ledge, everyone.

Is this a game of Limbo? Because if losing to the worst team in the league because we “hit several posts” and we’re now considering top 3 in the division as a success, then the bar astonishingly low.
I’m done with moral victories. It’s pathetic. You score or you don’t. We’re not a middling team because of bounces and posts. It’s because our coach can’t and won’t utilize our talent or strategize properly.

I questioned that comment too.
Who does Sutter consider young? I thought Hanifin and Andersson had a number of pretty questionable shifts/decisions that led to bad things…but calling them young strikes me as odd. They’re seasoned professionals.
…and if it’s just Rosie…I mean, weird game to lay at the feet of a 4th liner.
Dube - 24
Hanifin - 25
Mangiapane - 26
Andersson - 26
Maybe Dube could be considered young…but he’s been around. These guys aren’t young.
Lukas Reichel at 20, that guy is young.

I do want to remind you that the one year we were the best team at 3v3 in the NHL (2016) we were starting with two D + backlund, then switching to 1D + Johnny/Mony.

Unfortunately for you, the Flames are kind of proving your take is IRrational. We’re .500. We don’t have salaries that should yield a .500 record. We’re half way through the season. More than enough of a sample size.
This isn’t work, this is professional sports with diehard fanbases. Get over it. Fans get upset when their franchise isn’t very good.

Mangiapane was so much better when he was found money, and his play was incredible value for his salary and where he was drafted.
Now he is a critical part of the team’s ability to be successful and they are counting on him to produce. Not every player is good with that.

It is not the lost but the way they played. Losing to the worst team is not a confidence builder, especially you look at the next 3 games.

Like it or not, the team is playing underwhelming hockey a lot this season and well below expectations.
It's just the reality people are pointing out.
You're actually being irrational in order to not acknowledge that and pretend it's just 1 game.
I don't blame you, watch the game how you want and stay happy. Power to you for being able to do that.
But don't complain about those venting and pretend they're the ones being irrational when they're actually being accurate about the situation.

Knowing Sutter he meant Phillips and Pelletier.
