huberdeau owes the team a round of drinks and 10-15 points based on the body of work so far

going from 4 seasons at 1.2 PPG to what he is right now can't really be excused by the adjustment period .. he's had enough time now

yes .. zohorna and phillips injected life into the bottom six of this line up and deserve even more opportunities just based on what they contributed tonight

The 4th line looks a whole lot better this game, funny how one player makes such a big difference. Not one player played less than 6 minutes.

Huberdeau signed long term with a high AAV, is starting to feel and look like the Russell Wilson signing for the Broncos…

Even strength, Zahorna was statistically one of the worst Flames tonight.

Phillips was one of the best.

Except Stone.

Very interesting that Darryl benched Stone tonight for most of the second and third but not Phillips or Zohorna.

Except we are making the playoffs unlike the Broncos.

Huberdeau setup the Flames first goal...some of these takes are over the top just a tad

Wasn’t bad but wasn’t great. We cannot seemingly win the ozone battle at all versus better teams. This team can’t cycle and can’t be creative to keep plays alive better. They miss kyllington, gio and Brodie. We have really slow dmen now.

That’s why OK was such a revelation despite his adventures in his own zone. His agility and burst to create in the offensive zone was really amazing. Now we are playing weegar 6 something next year. For what? What does that guy bring ? Number one dman my rear-end.

I didn’t notice Phillips to be honest. So I guess he belongs?

These games against Leafs and Greasers are so tiring. We are handicapped before puck drop.

Really? Phillips looked better than I was expecting. There's definitely some potential there.

Might it be time for a Meloche callup?

That’s pretty direct in an indirect way!
Fun game overall. Lines were more dynamic top to bottom instead of a fourth line just killing time
Have to be more disciplined against a team with those weapons. The leafs are not that much different than the oilers. You have to play more disciplined game
Overall though not a bad game

Come on. Even with the rough officiating it was a good game.

they stopped giving the Flames PPs immediately when they started scoring on them

couldn't jeopardize the money on the line tonight

Flames dominated tonight with Phillips on the ice.

He was one of five Flames with both multiple scoring chances and a high-danger chance. He should be right back in against the Habs.

On one hand, even just "not noticing" Phillips speaks volumes. He's replacing NHLers successfully. But I thought he was good, helped the team with breakouts, skating into space, getting into the offensive zone etc. He is small, and he spent a lot of time getting knocked around, but... he didn't look out of place at all.
