Is this real or satire? I honestly can’t tell anymore.

I’m bored of Covid though. It’s here to stay and that’s just what it is. The only people I hear about Covid from are the two polarized sides though. The anti mask/antivax side and the mask mandate/health restriction side. It’s mind-numbing and I was so hoping we could just move along and live our lives by this point.
May I suggest not going in covid.related threads then? Just a thought.

Yeah I know. Long day, got bored and thought maybe this was about the ongoing inquiry.

What are you talking about? My post (which you omitted part of) was in response to the above. Coughs, colds and flus clogging up the already over crowed er rooms is a major problem.

Kids are pretty tough to get a read on sometimes. Never hurts to be cautious and seek medical help. Our son has had a couple different colds where he had a pretty violent barking cough, we were very close to taking him.

It sucks you had to wear that mask for 2 years, it really does as front line workers really don't have the same choices. Not wearing a mask again though? Changing careers? Do you think on-line might negatively affect your teaching? I am not sure I understand where you would draw the line on mask wearing.

Are parents taking their kids to emergency with coughs, colds and flus again? Why???
May be a coincidence of circumstance, but here we go:

My mother went to emergency in Red Deer at 1:00 pm on this Wednesday (November 16). I know because she was so entirely crippled by colitis and diabetes that I had to help her to the car as she struggled to suppress the nausea, incontinence, and weakness she has been dealing with since Thanksgiving.

She just texted me that she is being seen by a doctor, at hour 9 of waiting in a ####ing meat-market of humanity for the entire day.

"If you can spend 10- 15 hours waiting in emergency it’s not an emergency" is...nope, I can't say anything civil right now in response to such a ####wad take. She couldn't eat, ####, sleep, regulate her blood sugar, and many other fun stuff for 40+ days because she couldn't - and should never be asked to - suffer all of that outside of her home for those 9+ hours. And I don't blame her.

In the 25+ years she has suffered with these episodes it has never been a problem to have her treated in a timely manner at any emergency room throughout Central Alberta. Her treatment has significantly declined since May 2020, and I can't help knowing exactly why.

Uhm masks do work if others don’t wear them, they just work better when others wear them as well. Same as the vaccine.

I feel so bad for the folks that are forced to wear masks.

I mean, what a living nightmare.

Thoughts and prayers.

I know you’re just being facetious, but I do feel bad for them. Regardless of whether you think we need a mandate or not, working full shifts in a mask would suck. I don’t even think there’s an argument on that point?

My parents work in care homes and wear masks all day it doesn't impact their quality of life a single bit.

So you can stuff it.

I'm glad I don't have kids with teachers like you teaching.

More like acting as if they feel that important. The reality is that they feel small, weak, insecure and afraid. How many happy, well-adjusted people are part of this anti-vax group? What about Danielle Smith's base? How many reasonable, educated, empathetic people there? More like a bunch of confused and frightened and insecure children. Its pathetic and I would feel sorry for them if they weren't causing so much harm.
