I say people with Porsche coupes should be allowed to drive them as fast as they want. Clearly someone willing to go that fast has superior driving skills and everyone should just get out of their way and let them reach their destination in half the time.

These people are morons. Anyone who isn’t a complete piece of #### and a moron knows you don’t pass vehicles at speed. Also, radar detector is a must. So is driving with visibility. Driving 300km/h thru the mountains is a deathwish. Too many hills and blind corners.

it doesn't stop them from trying !

and then theres sheep . sheep don't give af about human activity . they are just enjoying their road salt high . they could set up camp anywhere .. behind a sharp corner or hill .. between the metal fences giving no swerve room . not even worth it .. except for some it is apparently

The guy got tagged with a ProLaser 4, rookie mistake. His fault for being completely unprepared.

I wouldn’t mind people going 270 if the crash would just take them out instead of the family they end up hitting.

That is so irresponsible. He was a menace and should lose his license for a while, if not go to jail for a bit to learn a lesson about putting others in danger.
Damn, and I felt bad getting a ticket for going 170 in a 100 when I was 19 years old. Of course, I wasn't driving a Porsche either. I got lucky though, the police officer noticed how much pants hitting I was doing and knocked the speed down to avoid the automatic court appearance.

The world has too much stuff. Search on Wayfair for "kitchen sink rack".

73,513 results.

I will give this to Wayfair: the ability to filter by furniture dimensions is a game-changer.

I was looking for console tables to go between my sectional couch and the wall, and I knew that a single table wouldn't be enough (plus it would look weird). So I measured the couch and decided I either needed two 60" long console tables or three 40" long console tables, between 28 - 31" tall. I found exactly what I wanted in the perfect dimensions, and it looks and functions great.

Searching by country of production is a nice feature too.

I was "estimated" at 60 over once, but the cop had no proof how fast I was going (he was stopped at a red light, I went through the green light way too fast. Mandatory court appearance but a no show from the officer. I pulled over when I saw the lights from his car and he had no way to estimate my speed, my guess is he wanted to scare me from doing something stupid like that again. It worked.

Presumably you know how fast you were going, how far off was he?

His estimate was ~10km/h fast, very stupid on my part but it was a hell of a wake up call.

Wait times for MRIs in Alberta are my gear grinder.

I've been dealing with sciatica for the last few years with it getting worse this year. Saw my doctor in May and he booked me in for an MRI to get to the source of the issue. I received my appointment from AHS a couple weeks ago.

Friday, April 28, 2023 at 11:30pm.

Got another appointment with my doctor to see if I could get a referral to pay for the MRI at a private clinic. Appointment booked for 2 days later for $675. Results back to my doctor the next day and a follow up with him to review 3 days later.

I have a protruding disc that's pinching the nerve and causing the pain/numbness in my leg.

He recommends I see a specialist to get the best next steps. Book with AHS and I'll be in to see one in about a year. That's just to see what they recommend. Not fix the problem. But for $250 I can see a private specialist in a couple weeks. That's what I'm doing so I don't have to live with the pain.

I feel for the people who can't afford these options and have to go years with this pain and not knowing what's causing it, let alone getting it treated.

Not medical advice, but I had to deal with this for years! "They" constantly tried to convince me that other modalities were going to work and not to do surgery. Finally, I had a spinal fusion and it worked. Feel free to PM me if you want more thoughts or whatever.

All I can say is that the pain was horrible and it wouldn't allow me to do a lot of things. The surgery and recovery was no picnic, but I have zero regrets at this point.

Yes it is, they just leave out the time part. And you might be dead by the time it is your turn.

Not that our health care system doesn’t need improvements. But the alternative is to just let all the poor people and immigrants die. Or go bankrupt. Or go bankrupt and then die.

Gee I wonder if the party in power that has been slashing funding and chasing away medical professionals for the last 4 years has any part in increased wait times and worse delivery

Some people unfortunately don’t give a damn about that as long as they can afford private care.
