I hope it gets hot again, like real hot.
A few more days of +30 would be wicked.

Given your love of the heat I can only assume you have your merino wool base layers on this morning!

I mean I'm not a total soft ####, but I prefer hot over cold.

Haha! I took out the recycling this morning and I saw my breath for the first time in a while. I quickly adorned my favorite hoody.

We crushed another record. First time I wore a jacket on my walk to work since before Canada day, for cold or rain.

If next summer can be a near-replica of this one I'll be over the moon.
In past years it was harder to coordinate good boating or hiking days as you needed a day off to coincide with the right conditions. This year the conditions were perfect 95% of the time so that wasn't an issue. When your weekend came you could just hit the road, enjoy mostly clear skies and not get suffocated with smoke.

Well duh. I think everyone loved the summer.
Is anyone actually complaining that it’s 27-32 every day for two+ months with no rain or wind?
The only issue is the long term consequences and it getting hotter and hotter. But frankly, if a few billion have to die so I can enjoy summer, that’s a price I’m willing to pay.

Because he just wants everyone to know that he is indifferent to the suffering of others if it leads to the facilitation of his own happiness.
Everybody does it. Its why we dont acknowledge the Armenian Genocide, North Korean Dragons and the fact that the Bilderburger family started their shadowy Empire on a restaurant where people could literally build their own burgers.

I am, it's too hot to do much. Sure made re-roofing this weekend a suffer-fest. But it also means going for an early bike ride, getting yard work done early, then not doing much in the heat of the day. Maybe if you just like to sit around and do nothing it's fine.
Plus the amount of water needed to keep the veggies growing and the trees watered sucks. My rain barrels don't have 2 months capacity.
How many people "not complaining" sit in their A/C'd house all day? I'd guess most.

Count me as one of those folks that was outside for a great portion of the summer due to how great it was. Perfect for patio (especially in the nights), rafting, slo-pitch and other leisure activities. I even did fair amount of runs in it.
I'm going to appreciate this summer, since I don't know if future ones will be just as good on a regular basis. Sunny, hot heat and no smoke for all of July and August? Perfect.

I haven’t not done something all summer because it’s “too hot”.

I've played a lot less golf due to the heat.

I don't know, we don't have AC and I spent last weekend landscaping. A Tilley hat and a jug of water got the job done. As a bonus, when it's that hot and dry out you don't sweat much because it dries so quickly.
Added bonus is not needing to mow the lawn as much this summer. I think we got by on 3 mows.

This summer I’ve spent 2-3 hours outside on workdays and 6-9 hours outside on weekends and vacation days. It’s been glorious. Even if you had to retreat inside for 3-4 hours in the mid-afternoon on the hottest days (and you don’t even need to do that if you have a shady patch of grass and a cold beverage), that’s made up for by the temp being warm enough at night to sit on the deck until 10 pm.
