I won’t be surprised to see Dube included in the move of a D-man for a RW TBH.

Last year they moved Tkachuk from LW to RW. RW has been a major problem for the organization for a while.

Lol no worries, just curious of the log jam

Come to think of it, because of the one way, probably no one would pick them off waiver. Treliving is a genius. Happy now?

Dube was dominant in stretches last year. I would hesitate to move him unless it’s for something good. There is the WJC scandal though….

Philly wouldn't even pay a team to take JVR off their books so they could sign Gaudreau this offseason. Rumours were floating for a while the Flames were taking offers on Gaudreau and Monahan.

Dube is exactly the type of player that I'd want to trade Valimaki for. Can play C, 18 goals, $2.3M AAV for 2 years, and RFA at the end of it.

Rumour on NYI Hockey Now is that the Islanders are trying to trade Bailey to make room for Kadri. 5 mil per for two more years. Might to be a good fit for Monahan and Pelletier or Ruzicka/Pelletier
Its a cap dump so wouldn’t have to give up much. Maybe move out Valimaki and Dube for futures to create some space. I’m not a big Dube fan, even though he is young seems to disappear too much

I believe he correctly predicted (guessed?) the signings of Gudbranson, Lewis & Richardson last year.

His posts are often cringey, as are his questions to the coach. But his predictions (guesses)? Eerie good. I think.

Bailey is an excellent two-way player, but his offense has declined steadily. He’s coming up to the age where he could fall right off the cliff.

So the Avs are trying to find a taker for Girard (~$5 million per) and the Isles are trying to find a taker for Bailey (~$5 million per) so that they can sign Kadri.
If I am Treliving, I would be approaching both GMs and asking them how much it is worth it to them to dump those players in order to add Kadri to their roster. It might be a nice opportunity to extort something like a nice pick or prospect in order to be the middle man.

Also, I would laugh so hard if someone offer sheeted Dobson in the middle of this.

Outside of Barzal and maybe Beauvillier or Whalstrom, there’s no forwards particularly interesting on the Isles.

When you look across the league, who apart from Montreal and Vancouver are in dire need of a D upgrade? Then you have to find a suitable piece coming back.

Believe you have to go the FA route at this stage with most rosters set. Stastny if possible and make him 2C. If not, johan Larsson in as our 3c and make backlund the definitive 2C. Can’t have him in between for another season.

The same outfit that had the Flames trading for Eichel, no? Let's wait until real insiders report a rumour.

You mean trade for Eichel? Not sure there was ever a chance to sign him.

I also believe the Hockey Now groups are reporters etc. similar to our Calgary Hockey Now

I’d be all over Bailey if we can move Lucic and the cost to aquire is low. Everyone on the Ilses numbers have taken a hit recently. Imo that’s coaching related

Could be a huge steal and he’s a playmaker which fits with our team as we seem to have more goal scorers than playmakers

Even Barzal only had 59 pts for them last year. Likely more of a team thing
