COL is to good and far to deep to go on a longish losing streak.
Mathematically its possible but mathematically its also possible that the Yotes make the playoffs and the grease win the division.
Not happenin....but it would be epic.
If the Flames can pull off an upset tomorrow and wins the games in-hand, they are 4 points back of the Avs with 22 games to play.
Take it one game at a time, and not saying its likely but it's more than just mathematically possible akin to the Yotes making the playoffs and well-above zero chance.

I think it will be the opposite. Coaches these days are putting their best options into winning the most winnable games. Colorado is the kind of game I am expecting the Flames to lose. Win against Detroit at home, and that is 3/5 guaranteed in the seven days from Hell. Anything beyond that is a bonus.

I agree. You have to get the 2 points today.
The chances of winning 2 games in Colorado, in the space of a week, are close to zero. Get the 2 points tonight, and then you can play with nothing to lose tomorrow.

With four games in between..I sure expect a struggle tomorrow, so win tonight and whatever happens tomorrow happens. Go Flames!!!

And after the Colorado game our schedule is NewJersey-Buffalo-Vancouver-Sanjose-Arizona-Edmonton and finally Colorado again.
I think it’s very likely with our upcoming schedule and the way this team is playing.
Is Tyler Bertuzzi on this trip or is he not allowed to play due to his vaccine status?
Bertuzzi (unvaccinated) is ineligible to travel to Canada and will miss the next three games.
Bertuzzi still isn't eligible to travel to Canada, so he won't play in Calgary, Edmonton or Vancouver. This is tough timing for the Red Wings, who lost Robby Fabbri for the season on Thursday. Taro Hirose was recalled from the AHL to fill in.

Pretty sure he stayed home.
Which made me curious to see what Detroit's record is in Canada this year. And I was surprised to see that they have only played 3 games so far. And lost them all.
