A GM doesn't get Jack Eichel to PREVENT him from going to a division rival. A GM gets Jack Eichel if it makes sense to add him to his team/roster.
Enough with the fear of our division rivals being better than us because of one player BS

So should the GMs of the Oilers, Canucks, Kings, Ducks, Sharks also lose their jobs if Vegas grabs Eichel? hahaha over the top post.
Who knows if Eichel will ever be the same. It's not a sprain ankle he had. Especially when he is stating the Sabres effed up his treatment.

Not scared of what?
Do you not realize that the Vegas Golden Knights have been a top 3 or 4 team in the NHL since they entered the league? They've won more playoff games and playoff rounds in the last 4 seasons than the Flames have won in the last 30 seasons.
It really doesn't matter if you're scared of them or not lol

Rumors have indicated for a while that Vegas and Calgary were the two strongest horses in the race. Anaheim was in there for a while, NY before that, but Vegas and Calgary have been the consistents. Of course there will be jokeying where one is temporarily emerging as the leader. That's how bidding or competing for a limited resource works. Seravelli did not say it was a done deal, much like Friedman didn't earlier say it was a done deal to Calgary.
What he did say is resolution in next few days, so we will know one way or the other.

What are you talking about Leafs wanted a 5th rounder? When was he ever a leaf. Confused with Sparks?
Pietrangelo has had 8 years of over 40pts and 3 over 50. Doesn’t look like Bouwmeester at all to me?
473pts in 805 games. Bouw had 336 in 1240. Basically the same player.
Seeing your analysis it makes sense to me why you are not scared. I am cleared up on my end.

Seravelli just toned it down a bit and said they are a team to watch in the Eichel sweepstakes. Says he doesn't know if Vegas has the assets to make it happen but they have interest and pressure is mounting on Buffalo to do something.

I see this as a Friday at 5pm thing (just like firing a long term employee or big unpopular move). You do it then so there is less media coverage and or give the office/fans the weekend to digest it.

There was never any news. This whole thread got way ahead of itself. Seravalli and Friedman are sick of talking about Eichel. Most of what they say are ideas. This whole Vegas front runner thing was totally misconstrued. Seravalli floated the idea that if they had a bunch of guys out long term they might use the LTIR space to make a trade. There was no rumor or "im hearing" there.
