After a big Flames win with big games from unexpected players, it'll happen tomorrow. Early. The return will be less than everyone thinks yet Adams will act all smug and like he's the champion for that pathetic franchise.

I just don’t see that happening personally. Not that it’d be crazy for him to be a part of the deal. It’s more so that the Sabres are looking for futures and the Flames are in win now mode.
So any deal that would be struck between the 2 sides would have to strike a fine balance. The Flames for instance, can’t just lose Rasmus and still feel like they’ll still have a chance to win this season. So there won’t be a deal to be had there.
But losing a couple forwards and eventually getting an elite one back in the line up, well that would be ok especially if this team can float by with their top line going ham most nights.
Similarly, Buffalo is in win later territory, do they really need Rasmus Andersson right now? Nope. But maybe they pick up a much cheaper Dube right now and maybe he’ll be great by the time they’re ready to win.

Day off on Wednesday after the back-to-back. Get it done while they're still around the NY area and Eichel can meet up with management face-to-face.
Send Conroy up to Buffalo to pick Eichel up, he'll be all smiles right away.

Eric Staal could be signed for $750k tomorrow.
Plus one of Ruszicka or Richardson.
Not pretty, necessarily, but I’d trust them to grind for a few months and make it work - some real “waiting for Goku” hockey.
