Vegas is such a wild card… I could definitely see them coming in last minute and out-bidding everyone. They have been so aggressive in their signings and deals since entering the league, I would not be surprised to see them give up every valuable prospect and pick they have in order to get him.

yeah last time he said that, they were saying they didn't want to include Valimaki on a deal. How did that turn out? Sorry but there is no way Treliving can place that much value on players drafted in the 25 OA range.

Valimaki was the return for a rental. I'm sure he'd have no problem involving an equivalent player for Eichel, who is signed 5 years.

The reported ask for Mark Stone was Valimaki +++
He was never going to sign an extension here, that would have been a terrible deal.
He ended up getting traded for a lot less in the end but it still would have cost more than just one prospect.

Seems reasonable. Top 6C, top 4 LHD, top C prospect and 1st
So, Zary instead of Pelletier I suppose.
I'm happier with that than some trade proposals which had pretty much 2 1st round picks, 3 top prospects, 2 roster players etc.
