It’s likely they are just late to the party of off day taxi squad and game day roster squad, same as we are doing with Ryan. Should have been doing it all year as he would have cleared to start the season or got rid of a headache. This doesn’t mean he is no good he is just not better than other teams options given the cap and COVID (Canada) guidelines. There may be a market for him after the Seattle draft when teams loose D-men and need depth.

Trade Board updated. Not very inspired with Savard at number 1, Chicago cap space at 15 and Tony DeAngelo at 30. Sam Bennett is the sole Flame listed at 26.

Not even sure Sam would get claimed on Waivers at this point. He is expensive and largely a detriment on ice.

I’ve probably complained about this too much, but I hate how these insiders present themselves.

Why can’t they just be analysts, who study the game and teams day in and day out, and find fits for trades and speculate accordingly. But no, they have to “hear” something. It’s so dumb.

Even though I don't want it to happen really I still think Gaudreau might get traded before the deadline this year. Flyers do seem to make a lot of sense for a move right now.
