Can we only hope for 1-0 wins? Is this the goal? There is no margin for error - how can they play like this every damn game?!?

Hey I love shutouts but do something to get some offense. The PP is making me crazy. They give up more chances to opponent's PK.

Why can't a coach be able to use a system that balances offense and defense? Why is it so tilted to defense??

Rittich is the only reason we got a point out of this game. "Well" doesn't even begin to give his performance justice.

Exactly. Stop screwing around a get the puck in the cage.

Only the Canucks and Oilers have owned the Sens...still you need most of the points

I strongly disagree. It certainly didn't look egregious enough to overturn the call, and a failed challenge would have put the best PP in the league in a position for a regulation winner in the final 1:30 of the 3rd.

The challenge would have failed and the vitriol for Ward doing so would go on for months.

Well, hold onto them puck and maybe someone opens up for a better shot, or maybe he can even work his way into one. Instead he took a really low percentage shot and it went the other way.

It was totally a repeat of what we saw against Dallas.

Game in hand. A minute to kill, just throw the kitchen sink at them and get down in front of pucks.

Instead they suddenly stop doing everything they did right for 59 minutes, throw a muffin wide of the EN or don't even pressure for the EN, and watch the other team tie it.

Those are the moments that will tell you where this club is at.

How many times does Treliving have to see it to know there's something inherently wrong there?

Rittich sounds absolutely devastated in the post-game interview. Jeez.

Also sounds pretty frustrated with Eric Francis.

No you don't, would have been an awful call.

Unless of course you wanted Ward to challenge it, lose the challenge and the Leafs go on a pp so all the Ward haters would feel vindication.

Rittich playing as well as he has gives pause for hope going forward. We're going to need him a lot going into the second half of the season. That's why i'm happy with the results.

I think we all counted on the whistle to be blown on the tying goal, but who was really surprised when it wasn't. I thought the play was dead when no flame moved for a fraction of a second before Nylander chopped it in. Frustrating, but at the end of the day we had no business being in this game if not for Ritter.

Tkachuck had a better angle and some space. He should have shot the puck. It was a bad pass and by the time Lindholm controlled the puck...he had no time or space.

Oh I don't disagree that Ward is a terrible coach and is in over his head and his systems contribute to our inability to create offence. I am just also pointing out that we took apart a second line that traditionally scored at near the same rate as the first line over the past two seasons and created two lines that cannot score. We then put Backlund on the third line with two guys that play a heavier game to round it out. The lines are a symptom of the problem.

Francis asked him a question in the post game scrum about his confidence after the 3-0 win. By just his answer alone you could tell he holds potentially some resentment for Francis.

If the Mangiapane goal vs the Oilers stood, this one was no where close to goalie interference. The only chance is the intent to blow the whistle which never happened.

They need to practice it and have set plays, they also should have a shoot first mentality and go for the rebounds... Too many passes allowed Toronto time to set up.
