I know Tkachuk takes a lot of heat for past comments but I admire his take. This is a guy who wants to win and that’s the kind of person you build around. Yes the team is struggling, and maybe they just aren’t very good, but I want a player with passion and a desire to win. This team has been accused of having too many passengers and it’s refreshing to see someone who wants to win. I’ve often said that I care more about winning then the flames do. Hopefully Tkachuk can show some emotion that reflects on the fan base as we are all extremely frustrated.

Could be because Nesterov is sporting a team worst 3.48 giveaways per 60. 13 giveaways so far.
Hes also way down in shot blocks, with only 7, or 1.87 per 60.
Tanev for example is at 32 or 5.42 per 60. Gio 29 or 4.78 per 60.
He and Valimaki are also tied for second worst +/- on the team with -5s. Only Bennett has them beat with his -6.
He does lead the team with hitting posts however with 3. That's unfortunate considering he doesn't have a point as a Flame yet.

I like what Tkachuk had to say if the results come through on the ice. Flames win tonight showing emotion I am eager to see how they look playing the Leafs who I think they will be very motivated against this week. Hopefully that goes well and we can start putting some Sens points in the bank

Agreed but please back it up. I understand he grew up in a hockey family and knows what to say but his no shows drive me nuts. Act like you are the highest paid player ON and off the ice.
I suppose it could happen, but his AHL points last year are pretty identical to Froese. He’s obviously got higher upside but today, they have similar offensive numbers.
