Maybe he will finally get it if he spends a few days on a ventilator.
Because anything short of that we will have to listen to the idiot boasting about how “it’s not that bad really, like a cold, you feel a little run down and that’s it, the flu is much worse, but of course my health is better than anyone, my doctors were amazed and couldn’t get over how healthy I am...”
Just wait.

Yeah, I'm coming around to that now. I did think there was the chance of a 'return to the flock' moment following the first debate if Trump had comported himself very differently, but it's now hard to see a path where Trump is within a few points of Biden in swing state polls by election day. Always the chance of a massive polling miss, but even that seems far less likely with pollsters trying to correct their 2016 errors.

The 2016 polls were well within the margin of error...also in 2016 people who didn't think Trump had a chance (thanks media) either didn't vote or voted for a third party so they could say "I didn't vote for her"

I think what is really hilarious is Trump could actually increase his share of minority vote this time and lose badly even still. Biden is bringing home the Northern white voters that Hillary lost, and he's also put a big dent into Trump's lead with elderly voters as well. I think it cannot be undersold that Trump's inability to run as a "Vote for me and see what happens" candidate hurts him dearly. We see what happens now, and it's catastrophic mismanagement.

Not a highly convincing press conference by Trump’s doctors. Makes me question his actual state of health.

The story of this election is to what extent it will be free and fair with an outcome that reflects the will of the electorate. That has been the story for quite a while already. Trump is not a good candidate, but he has made a lot of moves to corrupt the system. The cake is already in the oven, we're just waiting to see if it comes out as Trump intends.
This latest turn could toss it all back in a blender again though. All the moves made to get to this point could be undone in a matter of days. We are truly living through an amazing year here in 2020.

I'm not necessarily going to cheer for his demise, but I'm under no obligation to feel sorry for his situation nor mourn him should he succumb to the disease he lied to his own people about to the tune of 205k dead.

Well, Trump is kind of both. And I say kind of, because isn't isn't really much of a politician.

Even the best most dedicated murderer can only kill a few dozen people, politicians can kill 200,000 just by effing up a healthcare response

So he's a conspiracy theory I'm going to toss out: you see all these people who were likely exposed, like Grassley and Barr, be extremely cavalier about testing and quarantine and such. And that doesn't seem to make a lot of sense given the events of the last 72 hours.
Unless you consider the timeline being floated right now that Trump new about his exposure, and possibly even test results, before going to a rally and a fundraiser on Wednesday. There might be a push right now to reinforce the idea that you don't need to take exposure and quarantining seriously, as a preparation for the news coming out that the president was the worst offender for this.

Maybe not, but let us also not pretend that Adolf Hitler was especially smart either.
