Have to split up Gaudreau and Monahan this period. I think I’d just flip Monahan and Backlund.

Many of those losses were ugly, especially San Jose and Detroit, if we are going to talk about the Cup.
That 04 team wasn’t full of soft players who disappeared when the going got rough. They were men.

Talbot has not been the problem. Imo problems are listed in order below.

Gaudreau is very perimeter and afraid of contact. He hasn't shown up for many big games over the last several years. I think we'll see him get a few pp points but he can't be counted on as a game breaker. They should trade him while value is high?

Giordano hasn't shown up yet but I expect if we get past this round he'll have his legs under him

Tkachuk shows up and makes a statement every 7 games or so. I don't expect to see him for another couple games. Sure he had a fight with Perry last game but haven't seen much beyond that so far in this series. Thought he disappeared after game 1 vs Winnipeg as well.

Monahan has been mediocre. He's been physical which is nice to see but haven't seen much more than that from him. If Johnny isn't going I think it's difficult for him to go.

Heck, just try moving Lindholm to center and Monahan to wing.

I really don't get why Forbort's playing in the NHL. Can't stand his skating style, and he owned himself on two of the goals against today, heck I'd even think about putting Kylington in at this point, and that's saying something

I see I’m late for pre-booking a time slot in the suicide booth.

I don't mind that Ward shook up the lines, but switching Bennett and Lindholm was a bad plan. Bennett was effective on the 3rd line, now he isn't. And the 3rd line was their best, now it isn't.

Meanwhile, Benn , Seguin, and Heiskanen have been their best players.

But you’re just in time for the troll-a-thon. It’s picking up, right when the game is letting me down. Too bad.

I would like to see Johnny skate with the same speed as Dube.
