This is really what your focus is? “Not all cops”? Funny.
Of course not every cop is a racist murderer, and to distort the point to mean that is to fail to actually listen to what’s being said.
The fact is this: their fraternity is responsible for instilling the fear of death into an entire population of people based solely on the colour of their skin. Nobody gives a #### if a cop is scared tonight. Be scared. Welcome to how other people live their entire lives, not knowing if the person behind the badge is a good person, or if you got the bad lucky of the draw and might die tonight.
Police need to get their house in order and stop killing people they’re sworn to protect before they get any sympathy for being “on edge.” Dang, on edge, wow. Tough life.
There are no shortage of people excusing cops for murdering innocent people. Saw it just today with the news that a Calgary cop who murdered someone needlessly is going to avoid punishment, with responses like “don’t do drugs and you won’t get shot.” Even murdering cops have plenty of sympathy, you don’t need to go grifting for them.

There are good police. They need to demand that their brothers in arms meet their standard.

No question...and lumping the vast vast majority of them who are good and decent people as "racist murderers" because they wear the same uniform as some bad apples is about as counter productive as anything that could possibly be done.
It all stats with leadership though, and political will and capital needs to be spent to do so. That's a whole conversation on its own though.

Really bad idea as they have snipers on the roof...though they may be loathe to use any sort of lethal force.

I forget the exact words of a tweet I saw but it was like "if there are 1,000 good cops and 10 bad cops and the good cops don't turn them in then there are 1,010 bad cops"

5th precinct would be referring to Minneapolis.

But if those good and decent people are not willing to stand up and stop the racists and murderers, if for every 1 cop willing to kneel on a man's neck until that man dies, there is a precinct full of cops who are willing to cover for him--I have little sympathy for the "good and decent" ones being lumped in. They may not be racist murderers, but they're protecting racist murderers. They may not be racist murderers, but they're proving that they don't care enough about those racist murderers to do something about it.
And that's almost worse. Because if one bad cop murders someone, but he's caught and prosecuted and kept from doing it again, sure that one single act is awful, but it stops at one awful act. If police allow those in their ranks to again and again commit crimes in the name of law enforcement, it adds up to a whole lot of terrible acts. You don't have to actively be a terrible person yourself to allow terrible people to hurt others.

If this causes a spike of cases, which there is a good chance of happening, going to be tough to have return to play for the NHL in any American city

Yup, if they disagree with the racial BS that goes on, yet they turn a blind eye and refuse to blow the whistle, they are cowards and just as big of a problem. No sympathy for any of them.
