While I agree, I also have to say that momentum swings. We can back and I say at that point you remind them of the clock and what’s been accomplished. It also sets the stage for players; not that they need to be reminded of what the situation is. In any case, here we are AGAIN playing from behind.

Another last minute gut punch. Sometimes the bounce goes your way, sometimes it doesn’t. Tonight, it didn’t.

I’ll focus on the fact that we came back from 3-0 down to tie it. Pressed for the equalizer in the third and got it. All without one of our top 4 d-men.

Not happy with the result but at least there was a fight to the end. We’ll get them next time.

I think it is completely on the coaching staff for the Flames' inability to get the puck out of their own defensive end and through the neutral zone.

I'm not worried about the players' ability to score goals once we are in the offensive end, but my god we can't even pass the puck properly to get there in the first place.

I cannot believe there isn't a game plan for the Knights. So many teams play this way and there should be a few subtle adjustments the coaches can make in-game to help the team start a push back on the pressure. No, instead we get pushed over and down a couple of goals because of the insistence to play "dump and chase" and "just play harder." I hate this system so much.

So then it happens. 4-3.

Where's the timeout? If I'm coaching a team, and they get scored on that late in the game -- next thing I do is call time! We know the team can come back, they just need some time to get focused.

But then the next thing we know, the game is over without any sort of setup in the offensive zone.

No timeout. Has Ward ever called a single one as Flames coach?
He probably doesn't know what to say to the players. Maybe they can get big screen tv's put in the floors so they can all stare at them after getting scored on. Fu&J Off Treliving.

Think she sometimes got caught trying to be too descriptive, instead trying to keep the flow of the game, and then she would try to talk fast to catch up, and her voice was a touch too quiet, compared to Cassie. PBP is a hard thing to do, and I am sure she must have been nervous, over all she was okay, and I would take her everyday of the week over that doofus ransdorf, or even Quinn.

I feel like we've seen this enough that Ward should have called a timeout after they scored. Settle them down, don't let them get too high or complacent and get it into OT. But hey, I would've started Talbot too so what do I know.

I find it funny the interm label has not been removed from Ward. I would suggest he goes back to being an assistant while Tre brings in someone else.

The way this team manages to find ways to lose is certainly frustrating.
They've found ways to win just as much this year.

Frustrating, but I also didn't expect them to shake their home woes at the snap of a finger like that either. There were going to be some hiccups yet. They have a few things to figure out at the dome before playoffs roll around, mainly first periods. Better they work out those issues rather than be rewarded for playing another half of a game to validate their early complacency, giving them justification to keep doing it.

It's not all bad. Still in decent shape for the post-season. Weren't going to win them all, and the L hurts the much flukier Oilers' bid.

It seems like Lindholm has been neutered by trying to be the actual 200ft center on the top line.

I want so bad for Monahan to be the guy he's paid to be, but man oh man he has not been good since maybe the All Star break.

Gaudreau has left him in the dust with his effort.

**** Vegas, their white gloves, carrier and marchessault. #3 on my most hated teams list.
Only caught snippets of the second on 960 then the last 5 min on sportsnet. Sounds like the flames were a no-show until lucic’s goal? Wills was lamenting the lack of calls against Vegas- at one point Reaves ‘body slammed’ Dube away from the play? Was reffing that bad?
And how did that turd Carrier not get a penalty for running into Rittich? Looked clear as day, though I just caught the replay and Cassie’s comment. God I hate Vegas.

Tkachuk was already at the top of the zone blocking the potential shot from the defenseman, Mangiapane should have gone over to the right wing side to cover the pass recipient and eventual goal-scorer instead of trying to be a second shot blocker.

Would you hate the Flames if they played like Vegas?

it was a good comeback until that bad bounce... Vegas was going to be on point after getting shutout last game... too bad the flames didn't start the game on time

Tough loss, but they did spot Vegas a 3-0 lead before picking up their game. Lesson learned I hope.

Still, they came all the way back and should have at least had a point if not for a lucky deflection off Mangiapane's stick.

Learn from this and move on. They've been playing well lately. This was just a bit of an off night. I blame the time shift.

Hard to clear the defensive zone with six goaltenders. When Chucky was doing the hokey pokey in the high slot, and everybody else standing still, I had a sick feeling they were going to find a way to lose. That's not on goal tending or coaching. Oh well. Move on.

Don’t really care that it was deflected, Rittich can’t let goals in from there. He just continues to get worse as the games get more meaningful. Biggest concern over the long term is he just doesn’t appear to be an NHL starter when the games matter most.

Still 5-2-1 since the road trip, need to just put this behind them and keep playing one game at a time.
