No question in my mind that after observing this group for the last 2 months under Ward, that BT will not have the same group after deadline day...maybe even when they get back from the AS break.
He can't be OK with the large sample size, even if their record is OK.
They just dont care enough, are not focused for looong periods of time, and clearly don't wish to do the work to change things.
Maybe yet another coach gives them a bounce, but this is a personnel issue way more than anything else.
Coach after coach after coach says as much.

Strange that so many people give Gaudreau a free pass

That’s inaccurate . Hamonic obliterates his man, Brady, in front of the net.
Lindholm has to collapse further to the net.

Everyone on this line should be on a different line, and stay there. Reunite them for powerplays.

7 shutouts in 50 games.
Approximately 1 in every 7 games, more than 1 of every 3 regulation losses.
It's already more than the Flames have had in the last 2 years combined.
On pace for 12 shutouts, the most in franchise history.

have you considered though that the problem might be not switching backlund and ryan in the lineup?

If we could hire Gallant during the second intermission, that would be swell

Bad coach after bad coach after bad coach says... Treliving hires some bad coaches who have accomplished nothing elsewhere either.

Typical response on here. Said it about a week ago. Flames win an ugly game and all the talk is about how it wasn’t good enough win. Flames losing a game right now they shouldn’t be losing, and they get 0 credit on here for the fact they actually showed up.
Don’t get me wrong, this game is highlighting some deficiencies on offence, but some the narrative on here is embarrassing, makes me feel like half of this site isn’t even watching, just reacting to NHL app. updates.

Can he convert from the top of the crease?
Can he tie up the man in front?
If so, bring him in on pto.

Mmmm. No.
They are incredibly unlucky to be down by three in this game. Like I said: the Flames have not been great, but they are certainly generating enough high quality chances to score, and have absolutely been recipients of more than a few bad breaks. It happens.
