Lol they changed their excuse...it's not a dump in, canes have control before they "tag up"

10 second review when they look at other ones for 5 mins

Sportsnet hates the Flames so this is no surprise.

I mean, it's the rules, and according to the rules, that play was indeed onside and a good goal.

So "Lol @ people who are too mad to admit they were wrong and that was indeed a good goal"

I wasn't watching when it happened. They try to explain that it was onside in the intermission, but they never show the guy away from the puck tagging up, so I still don't know.

The Canes guy doesn’t touch the puck again until McGinn has cleared the offside. Some of you guys need to brush up on the rule book.

Okay so they are indeed going with the cop out that he didn’t maintain possession across the blue line.

NHL says the Flames player brought it in and that is why it is a goal. That is a lie. Even incompetent SN has video of Gauthier pushing the puck. Take the time to get it right. It makes them look stupid. Not an important game for the NHL I guess.

That's BS. The guy had control of the puck. He pulled it back in against the wall. It's a blown call for sure. But hey, leagues gotta save face so of course they make up this bs. Whatever. We all know how competent that are at this.

Sure it is. He lightly dumps it in and doesn’t touch it again nor does he remove his foot from the neutral zone until after the middle of the ice guy also tags up.

It’s a good call.

And good thing I’m not coach because I would’ve caused a massive scene with sticks and water bottles and embarrassed myself.

When has an off-side ever been called waiting until the puckcarrier touches the puck a second time? If the player has control of the puck, then it has always been considered off-side.

It's fine if they want to call it this way, but I expect that it will be called this way by every ref in the league going forward. Good luck with that.

How far does the puck have to go to be a dump in? Wrong question anyway. He didn’t carry that puck in.

Some of you need to read the rule book.

- Canes players chips the puck in. Does not touch it in the zone.

- Canes player at center ice is off side (delayed offside).
- Canes player at center ice tags up, Canes players on the boards still has his skate out of the zone and still hasn't touched the puck in the zone.
- Canes then go into the zone, steal the puck and score.
- Jankowski is breaking the zone looking for a breakaway pass.

Onside.

Both players tagged up before puck was touched by a Canes player in the Flames zone.

Good call.

Exactly, it isn't a dump in. It got away from him a bit, that happens on half the offside calls every game.

But it wasn't a freaking chip in. Some of you guys need to get some better glasses.

That's onside.

The puck was touched outside the blueline and then wasn't touched again inside the blueline until after McGinn got back onside.

Puck was brought in with control, not dumped in.
