Well it isn't anything like it was 30=35 years ago...and IMO that was the golden era both in legendary players as well as the mix with full out physicality.
Some people like that its softened so much and its a better game...I think those people are dead wrong.

Could we talk about some others things that happened in a win then arguing one hit? Please?

I think in this particular incident it's that Rinaldo elevated himself to hit the player high when it wasn't necessary. I can't think of any examples off the top of my head, but in the past I've felt the league has viewed those as predatory hits and are trying to limit that kind of action in a hit.
It doesn't look like he made contact with the head, but it certainly wasn't shoulder to shoulder either. Elevates up to hit high in the chest (at the least), which is a dangerous and (IMO) unnecessary.
I can see DoPS going either way on this one.

I thought the Rinaldo hit was clean. The refs on the ice seemed to think so too.
Unfortunately, his reputation will earn him a suspension.

Nobody has said that so far. And from the looks I've seen, I am tempted to say the principle point of contact is high chest, not the head or shoulders.
It's just a highly dangerous way to hit another player, which the league is trying to phase out.

Just bring up something else rather than crowing for posters to post differently. It's a huge community of people speaking about whatever interests them and all you can do is bring up your own thing and see if it sticks.
My apologies for the abrasiveness, but one thing that gets me on CP is the "Why is this being discussed!!!??" or "I'm tired of topic X!!". All topics and conversations are representative of the community and proclaiming issues/topics worthy or unworthy generally has the opposite effect you want it to.
It adds nothing, and nothing more than that. I get the sentiment when people are frustrated, but it's a net negative in terms of contribution.

It will be.
Biggest test, given that they're playing good hockey now, having to face down their demons... who are also red hot. They'll be up against it to extend the streak.

He separated man from puck, shoulder to shoulder. No penalty call.
The day shoulder to shoulder checks like that become suspendable may as well get rid of hitting. Go for it if that's the way the league wants to go. I get the head protection... I realize this is the way it needs to go legally.

And yes Lucic! I was against the trade, but now that I'm past that I cheer for anyone on the team and Lucic has won me over. Just a hard working guy that you can't help but cheer for.

We are no longer standing inside of our blue line when accepting the first breakout pass. This is One major change that I have noticed post Peters and is the same thing that I was happy to see last year post GG, but seemed to have creeped back in this year.
I sure hope that this is a change that Ward is preaching, because it has been the biggest reason why we have been playing so slow this year imo

Not to sound controversial but Peter's firing may be the turning point with this core. Something is majorly different. Not just the new coach bump, but an actual serious change in how the players approach the game and how they look out there.
I would never suggest that Peters was employing the same abusive tactics as in Carolina, but it seems some sort of dark cloud has lifted off the team and I know who just left.

Been feeling pretty bad for Talbot lately. Those last two starts I thought he played well but the team hung him out to dry a lot of the time and his confidence just broke. Good on the team for finally showing up and getting him this one. Not easy coming off of such a long hiatus between games.
Hugeee monkey off his back!
