Makes sense.
Sarich has always been an upgrade on Rhett.
I think his odds of zoning out during segments are also lower.

If I’m not mistaken, I’m pretty sure I’ve heard that he did have nasal issues, but in his last NHL fight, he took one in the nose and it fixed things.

With how sensitive everybody is these days its not surprising they would want to avoid controversial subjects for fear of inadvertently saying the wrong thing.

I think the NBA simply isn't big news in western Canada. If it's not Raptors talk there's just not an audience. They have discussed the Cherry firing. Francis actually went through his ordeal with Cherry at HNIC today. Was actually pretty good radio.

Yeah Francis mentioned that after the incident he Cherry talked and they have been on good terms since. I have to give Francis credit in that he had an opportunity to pile on and didn't as he told the story almost in humour and as you said above mentioned that he was a generous and kind person behind the scenes.

The "take that..." bit is right at the end of the show, so you can skip ahead to about 2 minutes left.
After listening to it in context, it seems to me that the "take that CalgaryPuck" is basically saying "take that and run wild with speculation over what the announcement could be in the new year" (which is exactly what this thread is doing). It doesn't come across as anything negative towards CP. |
