That is fantastic center depth. I'd love to see what that third line could do.

Clearly, you're correct. Sign of panic. No other explanation for it.
Seriously, there are a bunch of weird things about those lineups beyond missing dudes. Usually you send all the kids on the road; they get to bond and the vets don't have to travel... but maybe they figured Victoria counts as traveling anyway? The fact that they're sending exactly 20 players to Calgary is also pretty weird - what if someone gets hurt?
Also, Goldobin/Horvat/Miller is your third line on a team of AHLers and kids?
At least the Flames' lines make sense; the guys who should make the team being at the top of the lineup.

B squad game will be way more insightful as to storylines heading towards open night than calgary's vets toying with the Canucks fringe guys.
However Lucic and Talbot will be worth checking out at least.

I was reading an article about Jankowski yesterday where he mentioned going over Nathan MacKinnon tape with Dawn Braid to add to his skating. So I'm really excited to see if some of out slower skaters (Janko, Monahan) or even some of our strong, but unspectacular skaters (Bennett) have added a step. Not going to pay much attention to hands and pass completion rates, I just wanna see who's flying.

Does anyone know when Mangiapane will be on the ice? Maybe it was said in another thread but I may have missed it.

From the Athletic:
"Mangiapane — who flew from Toronto to Calgary on Saturday night — goes through fitness testing Monday (when the Flames play split-squad friendlies against the Vancouver Canucks in Victoria and at the Saddledome). He’ll skate on his own Tuesday, a scheduled day off for the rest of the campers.
Wednesday, the 23-year-old will jump into team sessions. The Flames face the visiting San Jose Sharks that night."

Wow, the Canucks are icing that lineup for their Island fans who were shelling out massive bucks for tickets?

Yeah, that's what I was thinking - can't believe they didn't put Pettersson on there (even if he only plays 12-15 minutes)

It's not like he even takes up space on the bench.

Thank god I didn’t dish out the $100 for re-sale tickets for the Victoria game. Could care less to watch the Canucks roster play vs our AHL team.
