What needs to change about that hit? It wasn’t late, it wasn’t high, it wasn’t from behind, Bennet knew he was coming and just got hit hard. It happens. It hurts. It’s part of the game.
This can exist while also harshly punishing actual dirty hits (of which I agree need to be done so more often and more harshly).

Not really. He wasn't charging and most of the onus is on Bennett there. Bennett has hit guys just the same. And I will argue that his attempt on Doughty was far more dangerous as it was leg to leg.
