its the interwebz...
i think ppl need to take anonymous sources like that with a grain of salt.
Stone would have been great, but not at any costs...Sounds like Ottawa's price was too high. Would not be surprised to see everyone sleep on it and maybe circle back tomorrow, but if the price hasn't changed, Hayes would be a significant add imo

Hayes will suffice, if there is any truth to it at all. I still don't see why we wouldn't go for Zuccarello or Nyquist at those prices if we don't end up dealing for Stone.
We just let SJ beef up for a very reasonable price. You have to have a lot of faith in the roster as is if you're going to stand pat and (in all likelihood) face these guys.

Both Chabot and Tkachuk are pretty much untouchable and are going to be key to their rebuild.

TSN insider Frank Saravelli (probably misspelled the last name) just said on TSN the Flames are still very much in the Stone sweepstakes which refutes what the infamous reddit poster had stated on twitter and what Shannon (aka Oiler Shill) did not mention.

Here's the Sens' future right now. It's actually a pretty good core of young players, albeit unproven ones (aside from the first three).
Thomas Chabot
Brady Tkachuk
Colin White
Drake Batherson
Alex Formenton
Rudolfs Balcers
Max Lajoie
maybe Logan Brown
Those guys are almost certainly off-limits, especially because they're cost-controlled for a while.
Guys like Stone, Boedker, Ceci, maybe Tierney... those are the guys who are being shopped, most likely.
