I'm sure Johnny et al are fine with their paychecks and being able to have top tier players around them.

not a fan of renegotiation tactics personally.
no one is forcing you to sign that contract and both sides are carrying risk.
A) the player is trying to determine what his market value is at the time and what a reasonable salary is at the end of the contract. b) the Club is trying to see what works in their salary structure, what the market is and what the projected performance is relative to cap increases and the player's performances to date.
the offer is made and signed in good faith.
Sure the player can hold out... can the teams refuse to pay out a contract based on lack of performance? Or ask for money back?

Ya I am sure Johnny isn’t bitter at all that he took a smaller piece of the pie so Treliving could sign guys like Brouwer and Neal

Isn't all this Johnny talk a lot of speculation given the fact that he seems completely happy this year and we're seeing "Scoreface" on a regular basis?

What it really has nothing to do with is Edmonton being No Good.

LOL.
Or Giordano
Or Brodie
Or Lindholm
Or Hanifin
Or Monahan
Or Backlund
Or Tkachuk (soon)...
Wait that's weird. Those are the players that matter.

I thought this thread was E=NG, not G=NE (Gaudreau = Not Encashed)?

The first stat is way better. Or else combine Draisaitl and McDavid versus Monahan and Gaudreau for points per million.
|
Ask and you shall receive:
Monahan + Gaudreau @ 13.125M = 49G 69A 118P = 9 Points/Million Salary
Mcdavid + Draisaitl @ 21.0M = 47G 68A 115P = 5.5 Points/Million Salary
So Drai does bring up the average .5 points per million, meaning in a vacuum with my rudimentary proxy for Value, Draisaitl is more valuable than McDavid! (not a statistician)

My same yearly bet is for $10.

Have lost twice. Think I'm somewhere around $1300 up

I'm not sure that's an appropriate comparison. Professional athlete salary structures are somewhat different than typical office salaries.
