Not to mention Nashville lost in regulation, keeping them 1 point back of us with the same amount of Games Played.
Overall a great night!

I don't think you're using games in hand correctly. It doesn't equate to point differences.
We're tied in games played with SJ, and have 1 in hand on Anaheim.

Quite the game, I actually thought Neal was decent, except for a few plays.
Dome was full or close to full. All the other games I've been to this year the bleeders and the corners were half empty.
Noticed they have a veggie kiosk now, which is appreciated. Tried a hotdog and it was pretty good.

The bad news is that we don’t have a shootout specialist this year like Versteeg or Colborne.
The good news is that shootouts don’t exist in the playoffs.

I know, but it's just easier that way.
Going into tonight, the Sharks would've had to win 2 straight games and have us lose 2 straight games for them to pass us with the same amount of games played.
Now, they'd have to win 3 straight while we lose 3 straight.
With Anaheim, they would've had to win 2 straight games while we lost 3 straight games for them to pass us with the same amount of games.
Now, they'd have to win 3 straight while we lose 4 straight.

You appreciated that a veggie kiosk was there, but got a hot dog instead?

Damn, but that was fun to watch! Needed a bit more in the second, but what an OT! We've showed we can hang with the guys at the top, and that we belong there!

I didn't follow TBay injury trails, but we were playing without Frolik, Stone, Valimaki and Smith has been on and until Neal gets it going. The 2004 team just ran out of gas because we had too many injuries and not enough depth. Fingers are crossed.

Disappointed w/ the loss. Guess I have to be in attendance as a ticket purchaser next year? 'Coz I was working at the Dome when Calgary last won a home game against Tampa.
Anyway, last year's Flames would have melted down and lose 4-3 instead of tonight's result. Overall, solid game. But they're giving me "can't wait for the holidays" vibes. Hope I'm wrong.

The best thing that I could take out of this game and we went toe to toe with the best team in the league and looked equivalent at least to them.
I can't wait for them to roll over Edmonton on Saturday, that is one good dangerous Tampa team.

Heck, I didn't think Calgary played their best and they still went to a shootout. And should have won in OT if not for several 10 bell saves.

We’ve only been on the shootout this year now twice I think? Let’s wait until Peters can also get a Dial on the players in that, I trust him with all of his other judgements why not give him time to get a pulse on who to go to.

One of those things where people either understand or don't understand.
If you don't understand, no problem.
We just gained an extra game on both San Jose and Anaheim.

I think shooting on a right catching goalie throws off all of your normal moves. It makes you second guess shooting where the holes normally are, so you try something new.

I can't tell if Austin is doing this on purpose for a laugh but it made me chuckle... thinking about people scratching their heads and wondering if they have used games in hand wrong all their life.
