Remember how Kiprusoff looked like he never gave a #### about whether he lived or died?
Why is this goalie such a drama queen? Stop the puck. You're on one of the best teams in the league. It's not them.

Not sure if this is common knowledge (or recently discussed...), but I always thought Stolarz had an interesting story
Quote:
Legend has it Stolarz went to the most important session of his life wearing street hockey gear. They were hand-me-downs, said the freshly signed 6-foot-6 goalie who is expected to start Friday at home against Ottawa.
“That gear was a little small on me,” the 18-year-old from Jackson Township, N.J., said. “I hit a growth spurt, grew a couple inches, and with travelling around looking for a place to play, it was hard for my parents to get me some new gear. They were hoping I would make a team that would end up giving me (some).
“But the smaller the gear, I found the quicker I had to move so it ended up working out.”
That one tryout on a whim landed him a gig with the North American Hockey League’s Corpus Christi IceRays in Texas, where he starred last season, earned a scholarship to the University of Nebraska-Omaha and was plucked by the Philadelphia Flyers in the second round of the NHL draft last summer.

And because he only let in more than two goals once. There might have been games where he wasn't getting a ton of work but he was still winning. That's why he kept playing. Obviously with getting pulled tonight he won't or shouldn't get the next one.

Really hard when ball says “stolarz” and it sounds like “scores” to me

Every time they say the Phily goalie's name I think they are saying 'Scores' and it's really annoying.

Every decent NHL goalie that can make a split and has decent latteral movement and slides is going to stop the first one, David Rittich for example. 2nd goal you cant blame on goalie, but his bellyflop play instead of, again, a slide, is not looking very good. 3rd goal was unstoppable. 4th doesnt deserve any commentary.
