Put this in the wrong thread earlier. I think Peluso v Lucic is a certainty.

Who wins?

Everytime you turn around, the Oilers are playing a team on the back end of their back to backs. It's getting old.

So who's Peters gonna match up against Mcdoofus now that Backs is out?

$20 to CP if the Flames can pull off a win tonight.

Oilers fans say the same thing about Flames.

Wouldn't they sleep in Calgary and travel today? Flying privately it probably wouldn't take more than 2 hours door to rink, then they could sleep the night decently at home and leave in the morning. Plenty of time. Even if flights were mysteriously out they could drive in a bus WHL style and still make it...
I don’t even know why they would fly. Calgary Airport to Leduc is just a little over 2 hours on the bus.

By the time you pull off Deerfoot, unload people and equipment, taxi the plane, fly, land, unload and transfer to another bus, and get back on QE2, you’ve taken almost the same amount of time, and put in more effort.

I suppose i'd be ok with the Flames losing given:
- how well they've played lately;
- their record;
- how the odds are stacked against them;
- don't want the Oilers to land another 1st overall.

But Oiler fans and especially Oiler media is just so incredibly annoying that I want a Flames blowout win.

Hoping the OIlers can get a 2-0 lead into the third and then Lucic and Kassian do something stupid and go after Tkachuk only to get their assess handed to them by Prout and Peluso, which sparks a 5 goal third for the Flames keyed by a natural hat-trick by Tkachuk.

I don't want the Oilers to get any good feelings from this game. Even if they win, I hope it's a moral loss for them.

I'm not sure of the stats but to be fair to this one its probly one of those things, playing your #1 against the by far crappier team to guarantee at least 1 win.

Yes, but Oilers fans would be quite wrong about that. They get far more teams on the second of back-to-backs than do the Flames.

Actually I think Washington has the most annoying goal horn because it is not a horn, it is a siren that goes on for freakin ever.

Getting out of this game without any injuries or suspensions would be just as nice as a win. The refs will play a huge part in that.

I don't want to be sitting here later tonight with a "It is great the Flames won, but at what cost" kind of comment.

The 2 guys who would normally be tasked with defending McDavid out (Gio/Backlund)

Flames are going to need another big game from 13/23/28 and Rittich is going to have to be a wall, but I have some confidence that it can all line up for us with how the boys have been playing lately. GFG!!
