It is unfair to cite playoff wins against Gulutzan.

Yeah, gotta not make a trade because of a 2% chance. And you know that protecting it just moves the pick to a year away, right?

Easy to play defence when you can just guide the Flames to the perimeter and they're happy to stay there until they fling a useless wrist shot from a bad angle towards the net.

Johnston with a !@#$ cheap shot to Stajan's head while he's going down.
That POS deserves to be KO'd.

Flames had at least a 5 percent chance of making the playoffs at the start of the year.

I wonder if there is a parallel between the fans who had mad love for Hartley and the fans that had mad love for Byron.
Seems like some people just focus on criteria that fit their narrative.

Flames are out hustling and out battling the Isles. Severely. If you can’t see that effort don’t know what to tell you.

That's not what I mean. Lottery protection only kicks in if the pick becomes a first overall (or in some deals, a top three). The Flames, if they miss the POs, will be about. 2% chance of winning the lottery.

They're working hard, and generating nothing of consequence.
Working hard should not be something that gets commended. It should be expected. It's the baseline for any good team.

Doesn't do much without being able to finish. As has been the story for most of the year. Skate, pass, low angle shot. Makes goalies look good.

I think Gibson might have done it himself.
