I'm thinking the parade route should basically follow the Stampede parade route, what do you guys think? It might be cool to have it down Stephen Ave, but it's maybe too small?

All input is welcome since we are all planning the parade together now.

It needs to start at the end of the ring road and do concentric circles towards downtown.

Best if it goes past nemanja’s house. Not sure if they’re willing to go through Edmonton though.

Do you get off on being negative so much that it hurts when other fans enjoy a win?

Won in regulation*, they won in 2013 in OT. Prior to that they had only lost 8 games in a row in Buffalo. They also hadn't played in Buffalo for a 5+ year stretch during that that time (between November, 2001 to January 2007).

Given the lack of inter-conference games, especially prior to the schedule change, there's probably a decent amount of stretches like that. For example, the Thrashers never won in Calgary. And it wasn't until the franchise's 15th year in the league (now as the Jets) that they finally won a game in Calgary.

When the unbalanced schedule works out well (for the players).

I mentioned this in a different thread but to add, a key to help us win more games is always in that third line.

Our record:
- When Janko scores: 9-0
- When Bennett scores - 6-3
- When either or score - 10-3

If these boys can continue to develop and maintain some consistency, we're going to be alright long term!

If Smith is ready do you play him Friday or give him a extra day to get back into the swing of things and let him run with it against the isles?

Big props to the fan showing last night in Buffalo. My brother and I live in Toronto, and making the convoy down we'd anticipated to be a small minority of Flames fans.

Couldn't have been further from the case, and was really cool to step into a Flames community at KeyBank Centre. Must have been half the lower bowl in red, and we were shocked at the support (so were the Buffalo fans).

Also, the Buffalo fans were extremely classy, perhaps as a result of accepting their fate as a bottom feeding team. I was politely pulled aside and complimented on 'our team', and asked "Where did all you Flames fans come from? This is incredible!".

So, good to step into a festive environment for a game, which felt like a nice vacation from the negativity around the Flames lately. Hope they can keep it going in the next stretch!

Absolutely.

The internal positive growth of the Flames blue chip young players is a huge element towards the amelioration of the team.

Better bottom six, more offense scoring depth, short and long term? IMO, a huge part of it rests on their shoulders.

Great effort and production by both of them last night. More of the same and better is imperative.

It was pretty apparent on TV. Thanks for reminding me to comment on that. A TON of white jerseys that easily outnumbered the Buffalo jerseys I saw. I can't really blame the Buffalo fans for not showing up in droves given their season. But it was very strange to see all the red jerseys in the stands. But very cool too.
