Knowing that doesn't stop many morons from booing simple things at the dome.

Nashville has been a pretty good market for at least a decade, and a great one for the last few years. It's not reasonable to assume the patrons don't know the game forever.

No.
Love the way he's playing, but remember when people here wanted to sign Chad Johnson last season after his hot streak?

Luckily the people running the Flames are professionals.

Nevertheless, carry on, Rittich, carry on.

They haven't looked close to as good as that line with Tkachuk. I'm not against trying a different combo, but the problem isn't the coach not playing the right player combos, it's that this team is lacking another Top 9 forward to make that third line dynamic. No matter he does with the existing options it's essentially robbing Peter to pay Paul. Until we get another body that can actually round out the roster, no matter how you mix the parts we will still be looking for something to actually provide a consistent top 3 lines with the proper shut down and scoring potential.

Can someone summarize what Treliving said in that interview about Backlund? Thanks!

Gutsy win! Flames looked like the dominant team for most of the night, and when they weren't, Rittich was there to bail them out. Rinne I thought played fantastic as well, but the Flames managed to solve him.

Monahan is just playing great right now. I thought he was robbed from a few goals on this road trip, including tonight. Fun game to watch!

Tonight's @Cornerstone_YYC Player Of The Game is Curtis Lazar! His 3rd period goal was the difference tonight! #LeadTheWay #CGYvsNSH

Even a Frolik-Backlund-Brouwer line could be almost as effective as STL's third line from a couple years back (Fabbri-Stasny-Brouwer).... very similar stylistically at all three positions.

It's been a better run that Ortio had when first called up.

You would almost think that he had only played 11 NHL games... His bounce back was epic.

  • We don't need to be too public about it (the negotiation process);
  • Work is being done;
  • He's a big part of our team.

That's about all he said, really. Unlike Burke, Treliving never says much.

There were some pretty loud cheers when they showed a reply of a puck that was nowhere near going in

and then a large majority booing and chanting "ref you suck" when they announced no goal

They are a good market sure, but I think sometimes people go overboard about how awesome they are

That is why I said good on him for sticking with it...fact remains that one play turned an easy win to hanging on for dear life.

I'm sure he learned a valuable lesson

Maybe fans at the Dome need to "dumb it down" and start making more noise. Place is a tomb.

I think people are just happy to see a southern team explode with excitement for the game vs limp their way to decent attendance or wallow in terribleness. They are closer to California and Dallas than Phoenix and Florida.

I think you're going overboard the other way about this yourself because you seem to be trying to downplay their market.

Bottom line that makes a great fanbase, they have fun, they're into it. How smug are we as Flames fans when most night our stadium is full of hockey knowledable fans but it's a tomb.

Perhaps we should collectively stop smelling our own farts and chastising those who do not love our farts.

The preds fan base may not know the game 100%, but they do like to have a good time at a game.

Price point and team success were my other two points...new rink wouldn't hurt either.

Flames playoffs are as loud as anywhere...especially 04 (which is exactly the kinda run Nashville is coming off of)
