These extra 4 to 5 points they should be had in the last 9 days going back to the Winnipeg game is going to kill them come late March. And they gave up 4-6 points to division opponents in these 5 games, while only managing 4 themselves.

Not sure where all this Gaudreau disappointment is coming from. He may not have the sandpaper Tkachuk has, but he is routinely the best player on the ice and worth the price of admission. Not his fault he is and elite winger who plays on a line with a 2nd line Center and a third line RW. Not that they aren’t good players, but they aren’t 1st line players on a contender.

Best part of that interview was when he said the first unit got some shots on the first power play and then faded. The second unit is young and is going to take a while to develop a strong PP (paraphrasing). He has had 50 games to figure out a PP that was top 10 in the second half of last year. He is out of ideas now that teams have caught up to our strategy. It's clear a shake up is required and that should include him.

Its just one guy who dug himself a whole and won't admit defeat

Gaudreau is about the last thing that worries me about this team. He's an elite player that would probably be leading the league in scoring if we had a half ass PP.

This is all Cameron and Jerrard ever say to the media.

seriously dude this is not the hill to die on..JG is inconsistent sure but is also the most consistent point producer on the team...PERIOD

good night sir
Why yes, he is inconsistent, I'm glad we agree!

Who cares if he's the most consistent point producer on Calgary? Is that winning us games? Last I looked it wasn't Johnny who was saving us from these five game losing streaks.

Connor McDavid has 54 points, is that helping Edmonton right now?

Inconsistency from our top guys is costing us. You can't deny this.

About the only coach I don't have an issue with is Girard.

It's incredible that you are using Johnny's points total against the rest of the team. How does that help support he is a consistent player?

He is streaky, son, and that's all there is to it.
Alright let’s do this differently.

Gaudreau - longest pointless streak 3 games (once), 4 streaks of 2+ games without a point

Kucherov - longest pointless streak 3 games (once), 2 streaks of 2+ games without a point

Mackinnon - longest pointless streak 3 games (once), 4 streaks of 2+ games without a point

Kessel - longest pointless streak 2 games, 2 streaks of 2+ games without a point

Stamkos - longest pointless streak 3 games (once), 3 streaks of 2+ games without a point

Tavares - longest pointless streak 5 games (once), 5 streaks of 2+ games without a point

Crosby - longest pointless streak 3 games (once), 5 streaks of 2+ games without a point

Explain to me how he is inconsistent and any more inconsistent than the other top 5 scorers in the league.

Without Gaudreau and may be Tkachuk this team is unwatchable. Boring GG hockey.

Every player in the league is inconsistent by your logic then you can't deny this.

seriously dude when not one person agrees with you, you just might be wrong

Mony and Ferland we will give you...not the guy that is literally responsible for half the offence...he should be in on 100% that bum

Guess who's on the PP with a 32% conversion rate and dropping.

Gaudreau - fun to watch, but not doing enough to help this team right now. And that goes for Monahan and Ferland as well.

I'm just saying, looking at this game in complete isolation, the flames played well other than the 2 individual players screw-ups and a a useless pp. I'm disappointed with the players more than the coaches this game.
They were 2 minutes away from a win (an ugly one but style points don't matter) and 2nd in the division until Frolik makes one of the stupidest plays in the history of the organization. I can't blame the coach for that but I would have pulled his ass off the ice for the rest of the game and instead he puts that line right back out. Looking back this is far too similar to the incident last week when he left Brouwer out for an entire penalty kill in OT where he had already lost his last two face-offs to lose his 3rd which ultimately led to a lost point. These bench management mistakes are costing the team valuable points in the standings and the worst part is that this stuff really isn't rocket science but I feel he overthinks things to the point where he's just hurting the team at critical junctures in games.

And that’s only comparing him to the guys ahead of him in the points race. Lofty company indeed.

You really need to stop. Take Gaudreau off this team and we are scraping bottom.
