Who'd love to see these teams play a seven-game series?

The kid is 19. He is still learning. Give the kid a break.

Now that looks planned or that Andersson knew the guy... happened to throw the medal to a guy that had a Swedish jersey underneath his two American sweaters?

While I don't necessarily agree with throwing the medal into the crowd, but to those blasting him for sportsmanship seem to forget Dylan strome whining about refs, home ice and just having the typical Canadian loss pout on his face. If Canada lost this, there would probably be a few babies on the Canadian team I would think.

Dube's next scheduled game with Kelowna is Sunday against the Hitmen at the Saddledome. I hope they have him at the Flames game tomorrow.

What else do you want a public apology to Canada for offending people ?
|
its a messageboard - you had an opinion, other people had a different opinion...
kid can have a temper tantrum whenever he wants to - any time he loses if he wants too...but if he does it on National TV, people are going to call him out on it.

It’s kind of funny that people were praising GG for tossing a stick into the stand after a temper tantrum yet upset with a 19year old for losing his composure.

Lol what? Swedish hockey is about as classy as any, internationally. What are you referencing?

Anyway, I get the gesture. The Swedes have to be under a ton of pressure. They keep dominating in the round robin and failing in the elimination portion. They're the Washington Capitals of this tournament. The frustration must be intense. Still shouldn't have done it, but you can see why demonstrating to his home country that he's not satisfied with second place would be important to him.
You wonder if the Swedes get another year of Petterson or Dahlin. Given that Dahlin will be a first overall almost certainly, you'd think he'd go straight into the show, but he's a defenseman and probably has a chip on his shoulder from all the hype, so I suppose it's at least possible that whoever drafts him will want him to develop a bit and pay his dues before bringing him up.

It would be great hockey no doubt but they would need better officials. Having the powerplays five or six to one in a Championship game, like they were tonight, is really disappointing.

Bonk's Mullet @BonksMullet
Given his ability to throw away a perfectly good asset for nothing, Lias Andersson has a solid future ahead of himself in Oilers management.

one was a coach calling out a bunch of millionaires for not giving enough effort on the ice when said team isn't even in the playoffs...Its his job to get those players to work hard for their millions, and its their job to work in practice...
like virtually every coach in the history of sports does...
The other was a kid that threw a tantrum after winning silver in a hard fought battle
If you believe that is the same context, i don't know what to tell you...
