Taking a while to get to 5000
|
Yeah it all makes sense really. Just would have been nice to get that one game in. A nice reward for the kid but ultimately this is good news for Hamonic and his injury.

Jermain Franklin - Bartkowski rubbed Gaudreau out during a drill... one wasn't impressed the other shrugged his shoulders... ready to play #Flames

Gulutzan says Hamonic (lower body) out tomorrow, Bartkowski draws in. #Flames

Hamonic is day-to-day with a lower body injury. Gulutzan says him leaving early last night probably saved him a few weeks.
No update on Jagr’s lower body injury. #Flames

Probably because they don't expect Hamonic to be out more than that game, so they don't want to put him on IR and thus they can't call someone up.

I am thinking it was a blessing in disguise that he got hurt in that game and that it doesn't look to serious. Before he went down with an injury. The Blues out-attempted the Flames 15-0 and out-chanced them 6-0 in the 4:56 Hamonic was on the ice. In such a close game I cannot help but wonder if him getting hurt was a big reason we won that game. Here is hoping for a speedy recovery.

Well try not to miss retrieving a dump in then flipping the puck straight out of play in your 8 minutes of ice time Bart.

Still can't believe Bartkowski is on this team, he's a pure AHL player with no upside. Works as a press box sitter, but man oh man, does it ever suck when he draws in. At this point Wotherspoon should be the #7, he can't be any worse.

I honestly can't tell if you're serious. That's such a small sample size.

I didn't mean him being out any longer than beyond the Blues game. I will be thrilled if he's back for the Habs game. It just looked like as far as last game was concerned that he was in for a really tough night. I thought I made that clear. Unless you are saying that was a small sample size for one game, in which case I would have to disagree.

It's too bad Lazar isn't establishing himself. I still think it was a good trade in a weak 2nd round of the draft but hopefully he puts it all together and at least becomes a 4th line C before his contract expires.

Stajan sucks at hockey. He was barely any good when he was in his prime, how he gets ice time at this stage is beyond me.
It's kind of sad that given that, Lazar can't take the 4th line C role and run with it.

I can confirm that they match what I saw on naturalstattrick last night
He had a rough period but he's been better lately

No you did make it clear you wanted him back for MTL. But I still disagree. It's not uncommon to have a line or a pairing play poorly for one period and then turn it on for the others. That's like 4 to 6 shifts for hamonic. I'm not sure who he was matched against for those shifts but again it's totally dependant on which forward line he spent the most time with and which line he was paired against. I just don't believe that part of 1 period is enough to say that it's a blessing in disguise that a certain player got injured

That truly is the sad part. I mean if you can't bump down Stajan you're pretty much a bust

He really can't be. Wotherspoon is a better AHLer than Bartkowski is an AHLer.
