I don't care about the Oilers or sens.

I look forward to the Sedins' retirement not for their hockey (it's still fun watching them, just a little bit more fun when they're playing the Flames now).
It's because I can't wait to move on from the never ending sexism debate of whether it's ok to refer to them as the 'sisters'

Yes!
I’ve been saying:
Gaudreau-Monahan-Tkachuk
Bennett-Backlund-Frolik
Versteeg-Jankowski-Jagr
Ferland-Lazar-Brouwer
Jankowski enables this. It seems inevitable. Just do it.

Flames have a two goal lead but they really don't deserve it. They can thank Smith and general Canuck suckiness for the lead.

Yup. He was they key to their season last year, and I figured that even a small drop off would drag them way down.

Goals from Janko, Poirier, Kylington, and Shinkaruk. Rittich with the shutout.

Nice to see the Flames settle down and take control after killing the face off violation penalty. Smith is awesome but I think the Flames look solid.
On the other hand,Canucks look 2006-2016 Oilers bad. But they have pride and will come out hard in the third.

Wrong. They have been the better team.

All 3 goals have been ones that Markstrom probably wants back
Gonna be a tough test in the third

Yap for 5 minutes on the Oilers and Sens, 10 seconds on the Flames and Canucks, and now we are on to outside market scores......

The game is pretty straight forward...
The Flames have been somewhat undisciplined, but not awful.
The officiating has been a bit one sided, but nowhere near as bad as people seem to say. Yeah, we've had some non-calls, but all the calls we've taken have been pretty legit.
The Canucks suck, and thus we are still winning.
All told, its an OK game. We are winning, have never really been completely awful other than some undisciplined play. And yet we are surround by chicken littles and tinfoil hat folks.
Just imagine if we were losing...

Really? They've given up very little tonight, and that includes spending a quarter of the game short handed. I think they are full value for the lead.

Yup, they should count it because it's pretty obviously an assist

Bizarre game.
The Flames are one extremely undisciplined hockey team. They look miles better defensively albeit against a below average team.
Hopefully they can hang on and win this one, take tomorrow off and then 3 solid days of work in practice and get rid of these really bad habits they have going on. They need it in a big way.

I'm betting the Flames get less penalties and get to even out the ice time for their top players. They are going to be better in the third overall.

Canucks had 0 shots on net for pretty much the entire second period where they had 8-10 minutes of PP time.
