I’m ok with giving Brouwer a chance to redeem himself. For the record I don’t want to give anyone of future importance up to drop him.

Zero chance Colorado does that.
IMO, trading Brouwer will involve including a good prospect (but not Janko), a pretty good retention of salary, or a bad contract back. Or some combo depending on the players involved.
But Calgary will save some money and move a player they don't really need.

The worst part of these Duchene theories is that the Avs are so completely screwed up that one can't simply use logic to say "nah, that's ridiculous".
That being said, it is ridiculous. Just be happy if we get out from under the boat anchor contract.

That's correct, but if anything, Colorado seems to over value Duchene.

Now in that scenario, who's money is funding the arena? Is it:
A) All Flames Money
B) All Jagr's Money

I think GMs are offering Sakic the wrong kind of package to get a Duchene deal done. I would start negotiations at a ball of yarn, and some play-doh.

Holy s&%t, I just realized that Brower's contract is 4 year/18 million.
I must have blocked that out.
Hopefully this rumour is true! Get rid of the guy, even if it takes some sweetening!

The initial twitter was pretty innocuous to say the least.
Does anyone have any experience with this guy previously?
