Read on the score app the Pens are still on the hunt for a third line C. Stajan retained for a pick makes sense with Lazar and Jankowski in the mix for the 4th line C spot. If the Flames want to sign Jagr moving out another veteran contract makes some sense.

I believe Feaster confirmed it was indeed him at the airport that day in an interview

Marc-Andre Fleury would have waived no-trade for the Flames

NEW YORK – Marc-Andre Fleury can admit now he was preparing for the possibility of becoming a Calgary Flame.

He’ll even go as far as to say that had Pittsburgh Penguins GM Jim Rutherford crafted a deal to send Fleury to the Flames at last season’s trade deadline, the 32-year-old goaltender would likely have waived the no-trade clause he has in his contract.

“I think so,” said Fleury while in New York for league meetings.

“I think Calgary is a great town and a great hockey team too. I think they’ll be very good again this year. But here I am.”

Seems like there is a chance Duchene may be a no-show for Avs camp... (Sakic did state that he expects him to be at camp since he is under contract with the avs).

If he doesn't show up, what are the possible outcomes??? Do the Avs immediately have to suspend him? Now the Avs don't have to worry about this, but what would happen if they no longer met the cap floor in the event that duchene's cap number is not counted towards their cap if he's suspended by the team?


Sorry for the cap nerd questions, am just curious. Should be interesting how this plays out. Seems that a trade is inevitable within the next few weeks, right??

I say one of two things.

1. The asking price was not reasonable.

2. I call BS.
