Warrener is a beauty, but I don't get when some think he should - or even can - run the show himself or even be the lead guy. Part of his charm in his role now would be his undoing as the main guy; his IDGAF meter is always set to max. Plus he trips over his own words a lot and has trouble expressing his thoughts sometimes. That and he'd want 22 weeks of vacation a year. He's an awesome morning show "colour guy" and I'd be sad if he left, but he'd be terrible in the Boomer lead guy role, and even worse solo. I bet he'd agree with that too

I think the radio station is trying to groom Bo Levi Mitchell to be the next ex-athlete broadcaster, and he is doing a pretty good job so far - other than he sometimes got too excited interviewing guests that he forgot to mention the sponsors....

RE Da_Chief's post: there are a few things which I don't like about 960, but Peter Loubardias is definitely not one of them. One of the best professionals and people in the whole industry, and he has such great knowledge of the game.

Has great knowledge of hockey for sure...
Clearly watches a tonne of junior hockey.
However I would also place Peter as one of my least favorites on Fan 960.

Loubardias was on NHL Radio last week to talk about the changes the Flames had made so far and his thoughts on their upcoming season. Loubardias proceeded to talk Oilers and particularly McDavid for far too long. It was grinding my gears the way he was gushing over McCollarbone and his team in Edmonton.
C'mon Loubo, I like you on the radio but that was a little too much.

He is, Rob and Kelly announced on the radio that Mike Richards would be on air on Monday at 1 pm
However they also said it was a guest appearance and clarified he still lives in Toronto.

I liked Mike Richards, although some of his comedy has not aged well. I'd be open to a return but he'd have to tone it down a bit.

God forbid they allow two hours of the day for a show that isn't 100% hockey. Let alone a nationally syndicated broadcast of a talented radio host.
Our morning show run by boomer is trash and has been ever since Richards left.
EDIT: Don't mean to sound agressive because it's a more than valid opinion and others agree with the sentiment of getting rid of Rome. It just bothers me as someone that enjoys other sports than just hockey that our radio is all hockey all the time and the only reprieve we had was shortened by 33% a couple years ago to make room for more hockey talk, which being out of Toronto was mostly Leafs talk.

I don't believe this is a regular thing going forward with Richards - just more a one off as he is in town next week. From Richard's end I think it is more about promoting his website and podcast.
On Richards himself I don't know if he has new material, but some of his comedy bits (Kipper imitation, VJ Singh imitation) used to be pretty funny.

I'd honestly like to know how anyone can like Rob Kerr. I can't even listen to him for more than two minutes now - he seems to be getting worse with the gurgling, yelling and his constant habit of cutting people off. Not to mention his boring, ass kissing interviews.....
