No one disagrees. But then again, no one should really expect that VGK will not pick the player whom the Flames most want to keep without some added incentive.

Which is why it doesn't make a lot of sense to complain about it, especially considering that Kulak is the type of player that is much more easily replaced than a young top-four defenseman or top-six forward that a number of other teams find themselves in danger of losing.

Yeah, I was starting to think that their Flames pick might be Versteeg, Stone or Englelland. They could be the best options.
But Brouwer is better than a lot of people give him credit for. I would not be surprised if they take him.
